“Nice cafe in ray lodge park next to the children's playground. It has improved greatly over my last visit many years ago. We ordered a panini and a wrap both of which were good coming with a nice salad garnish. The capuchinos were also good quality and well presented. Only slight annoyance was a very squeaky swing in the playground next to the cafe but I can't blame them for that.”

“What a lovely place. From first booking our afternoon tea to arriving, Kelly was great. Our groups food intolerances were catered for extremely well & everyone enjoyed a delicious & plentiful afternoon tea. We had lovely fresh sandwiches, warm soft scones, not dry or crumbly & a large variety of delicious cakes all served in authentic crockery, a nice touch. Even our dog was welcomed just as much as we were. We had to take our leftovers home as we couldn't finish all of the delicious cakes, a welcomed treat later on. “After an extremely eventful and sleepless night, we desperately needed a beer or 2. And my goodness did we find the right place! From the moment the doors were opened, to when we eventually stumbled out, we were totally looked after by the unbelievable staff. It's clear to see that they take immense pride in their jobs, it really comes across. We spent a solid 6+ hours in there and it was like being in an episode of cheers! Fantastic locals, the chef even stayed and had some drinks with us after his shift (what a lovely man!) my only regret is not sitting down for a full meal. Although he cooked us up a sausage butty which basically saved my life... A special mention for Adele, who clearly leads by example. She was entertaining and professional the entirety of our visit. Even though we're from up North, I will 100% be coming back to try the food, and say hello to all the lovely people there. Thank you all for a memorable experience”
