From the lovely reception you receive booking on the telephone to the return journey home the atmosphere is one of enjoyment and safety. The drivers are first-class so there is no worry about journeys the coaches are `very swish` nice and clean and comfortable. The choice of day trips is always a pleasure to choose from, not too near and not too far, a Safari Park one day and maybe Wales another.Thank you for this very important, community-based company bringing the elderly or the lonely and children and teenagers together, with Mums Dads and Aunties able to relax for the day. “Our pug was urgently treated at Woodcroft for an ulcer on his cornea. The care from the staff was fantastic from the reception team, the nurses and the brilliant surgeon Alistair. Hopefully we are at the end of the treatment but I cannot recommend highly enough, every one at the hospital, pets are truly part of the family and watching what our Reggie has gone through is distressing, without Woodcroft it could have been so much worse. “The Hesketh is hands down the best place for a Sunday roast! I had the chicken roast and it was absolutely delicious – perfectly cooked, juicy chicken with crispy roast potatoes, fluffy Yorkshire pudding, and rich gravy that tied everything together beautifully. The portions were generous, the presentation spot on, and the flavours reminded me of a proper homemade Sunday dinner, only better! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It’s clear the team really take pride in what they do. If you’re looking for the perfect Sunday roast in the area, The Hesketh is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend and I’ll definitely be back next week !”

“So, had to take back a pair of walking boots today. These had been fine through the dry summer but now the weather has turned I found out that they were not waterproof as described and the left boot had developed an irritating squeak when walking. Fortunately I still had the receipt and even though the boots we 10 months old there was not quibbling and I was refunded straightaway by a very helpful young assistant. Love this shop, I could spend a small fortune in there and always find the staff most pleasant and helpful.”

I had the quad smashed burger and it was next-level—juicy, flavour-packed, and cooked to perfection. The chicken burger and wings? Just as impressive. Crispy, tender, and seriously satisfying. What really stood out was the service. The staff were friendly and made us feel right at home. We even got a custom milkshake whipped up on request—and it was top-tier. Plenty of parking too. All in all, Good Burger nailed it. Highly recommend.”
