“Finally got a chance to write this review I booked my two little boys for hairdo style (a bit of gel) for my two young boys at Studio 8 barbers on the day of a family wedding. We turned up, and they said we had no appointment and had booked the wrong date (I did not, I mentioned the date twice at time of booking). I was freaking out as the wedding was in 1 hour. The barbers did not offer any advice/help, very cold towards us, and we walked out in a panic. Frantically, ran to The HIVE Barbers and we were welcomed with open arms. Did not have an appointment but kindly offered to help and calmed us down straight away. Styled both boys hair with a little gel, all done in less than 5 mins and didn't even charge a penny. Boys looked really smart, and style lasted all day. So so grateful for a kind-hearted, caring local business who actually care for local residents and went out his way, knowing the circumstances around the importance of the day. Did not profit a penny, yet gained a lot of respect and have spread of this kind, wonderful business. This happened summer 2024, sorry for late review.”

“What a great experience, fabulous decor, friendly atmosphere. Carmen has been doing my nails, lashes and brows for several years and I can honestly say I’ve always been more than pleased. I’d 100% recommend Beaut for any of your “Glam” treatments. Nikki also does my hair, and can I say, she’s a star. Listens to what you want but willing to give advice for cut and colour. Love it every time I go,”

“Mezzaluna has become our favourite Italian restaurant. We love to bring more and more friends here, to try their wonderful menu! The staff are all so lovely and friendly, they even help you make up your mind when you're uncertain what to have! The facilities are clean and well kept, the atmosphere is cosy yet spacious. We look forward to every opportunity to come back! Our favourites are the carbonara and another dish with pistachios crushed and mixed in. Their desserts are freshly made on site and if you get the chance try their profiteroles, you won't be disappointed!”

“What an amazing venue this is, recently moved from another location, there's an incline up to the front door but NO steps. I will definatley be going again, my initial thoughts were that you had to book a meal or a show to go in, but NO you can just go in for drinks like any other bar. There's big screens showing current sports events and if there's an evening performer on there are soundproof doors separating the 2 rooms. Great for a night out keep a look out on Facebook or Skiddle (event ticket app) for upcoming shows. We saw an ABBA tribute act and they were brilliant. There's plenty of seats. When you book your tickets you get a table all with a great view. A waitress will come round to take any drinks orders and pay by card so you won't miss any of the show either. Everywhere is spotless, there's plenty of places for a photo op, there's even a photo booth downstairs near the loos. And all the staff were lovely too.”

“Really lovely place with great food! My husband order a burger and I ordered a burrito. Enjoyed the food and the price was reasonable. If there's an improvement maybe it would be nice to have a spiced rice instead of plain rice for the burrito as it watered down the taste but overall, we enjoyed the food. Husband said it was probably the best burger that he had in Manchester! The fries that we had was amazing too! We'd love to be back and try the other stuff in their menu.”

“We’ve been looking for a Chinese takeaway to call our favourite and not had much luck with the ones local to us. Found Golden Crown based on a friends recommendation and happy to say we’ve found our new favourite! Bit of a drive but well worth it. We tried the combo for 2 and everything was amazing especially the crispy chicken in OK sauce. 10/10!!”

“Just had the most amazing meal here! From start to finish, you felt very well looked after! The Pizza was probably the best I've had in a long time! My wife enjoyed the lasagne. PLUS WE WERE ENTERTAINED BY SIR ELTON JOHN! Cannot wait to return. Best night out in a very long time. I recommend the garlic bread with tomato. Exquisite! 5*****”

“The best Sunday roast lunch in the Prestwich area? I think so! We came randomly as we were looking to walk in the forest nearby, and were hugely surprised by the quality of the lunch - for £28 it was three courses (we had halloumi fries for starter, turkey with stuffing, and a sundae for dessert) and it was excellent. The Sunday roast comes in a fun tapas style, and the sides were really really good, especially the rich cauliflower cheese and the crispy potatoes. The gravy with the turkey was also delicious. Everything we had was great, and so was the service. Well we'll worth a visit, and looking forward to trying the weekday menu at a later date. A real hidden gem for the Prestwich area.”

“I have to say, it's not often my expectations are met when dining but I am delighted to say that Mogul, Whitefield, Manchester certainly exceeded my expectations in delivering a delicious desi lamb Nihari dish that was finger licking great with yummy tandoori Roti to soak up the tasty sauce. The chai request was a great finish to my appetite and satisfaction. The were amazing with their hospitality and meeting my request. Definitely going there again. I felt so at home that I wanted to take my duvet stay there. Dr Ghazala Jabeen.”

“Good Food not only has good food, but good staff too, which I thought was good. The salt and pepper ribs were old and dry which wasn't good, but everything else was good, so good food basically lived up to its name. Also I've got a nut allergy which I mentioned and they didn't kill me. GREAT SUCCESS!”
