Authentic thai takeaway in Manchester

“Good, honest Thai food. We've lived in the area for about five years and this is the best take away by far. I normally order the Tamarind Duck which is always great but I fancied a change. I tried the Larb Moo (minced pork salad) instead and it was exceptional. I always order the honey spare ribs and Thai fish cakes as sides/starters and they never disappoint. Tom Kha Gai is also great.”

The selection is impressive and hard to find elsewhere. Highly recommended — the experience really reminded me of Hong Kong with its diversity, flavours, and vibrant atmosphere. “The burgers are on point, 7 of us got burger meal, wings and a wrap meal. We spent around £45. Everything was on point, the burger was succulent and the flavour was just perfect, the fries were perfectly seasoned and they just hit the spot. We drove 3 hours just to have these burgers. Definitely worth a try.”

“Me and family stayed near the marina. Wings Oriental was within a 5 minutes walk. We had special mixed meat rice, duck with mushrooms, duck Chow mein, honey spare ribs, crispy shredded beef in sechuan sauce and chips. All meals were very nice and tasty. Probably the best Chinese meals we have had in a long time. Also portion sizes were excellent. Will defo use again if passing.”

“Truly delicious! Hot and flavoursome food in decent-sized portions that are delivered promptly. I especially like the variety and volume of vegetables that come in the veggie dishes. And lots of big slices of chilli so you can have it hot or pick them out as you please. Always delighted with a Marple Thai takeaway!”

Having not eaten here before we decided to try a few dishes and had the chicken pad Thai, chicken drunken noodles, spring rolls, prawn toast, spicy chicken wings and a king prawn dish whose name escapes me. Oh and prawn crackers with sweet chilli sauce. No complaints at all. The food was stunning and was devoured by the whole family. My daughter was caught off guard by how spicy the pad Thai was but she had a feast of everything else.”

“We have no experience of Thai food but just know that the food from here is absolutely delicious. Have only recently discovered Wendy's but each time our food has been fresh, with good portion sizes and packed with our choice of meat and a variety of veggies. Yes it's more expensive than Chinese or Indian takeaway food but so worth it.”

“We ate in here this evening and it was the best Thai meal we’ve ever had. Went for the salt and pepper ribs and spring rolls to start. The meat on the ribs fell off the bone and the spring rolls were so fresh. The mains were stunning too, salt and pepper chicken with rice and crispy pork, along with the signature loaded fries (topped with chicken and steak slices and leathered in a lovely spicy mayo, barbecue sauce, fresh chillis and spring onion). It was enough to feed four, honestly the portions are huge. It’s a shame not more people were in, because this place is so nice and the price is reasonable for excellent and fresh food. The service is a little slow, but the lady waiting on was lovely and I suppose may have been helping out in the kitchen. The chef also came out when we were leaving to have a chat with us, who was really friendly and welcoming. Overall a lovely meal and will definitely go back.”

“The Malaysian restaurant to go in Manchester region. Great variety of Malaysian food available with good portion. Starters wise the satay, rojak and roti canai with curry is pretty good although the price for the satay is a little on the higher side. Mee Goreng and Nasi Lemak both are pretty good main options. Good variety of Malaysian drinks available as well. If looking for Malaysian restaurant in Manchester this would be their one to go. Limited parking outside. Sometimes can get a little busy during weekends so might need to book prior but otherwise seats are usually available. Waiting time varies with crowd.”
