“Really tasty breakfast, cooked well and prepared very quickly. It’s a small cafe, so space is a bit limited. But then in a way that’s nice, nothing worse than a huge noisy place. Big car park at the back too, which is handy. Great cafe!”

“Absolute gem of a place. Stumbled across it whilst looking for some chips for my son after visiting the nearby park. The place was really cosy and staff very friendly. I can't believe how cheap the prices are. Portion size was huge. Food was fresh, tasty and hot. Had a lovely fireplace and toys for children to play with. I ordered for takeout but you can dine in.”

“Me and my partner started coming here over 2 years ago, we had walked past seeing “cocktails, coffee and pizza” which my partner turned to say it’s a place made for me (I often have a cocktail, water and coffee when out). We have been on sunny days in their outside area and inside - both carry the amazing by atmosphere and impeccable music taste. The staff are friendly and maintain really good service, very relaxed and chilled vibes no matter what time of year. Families, friends and dogs are welcome too! The food - we have tried many of their options but have come to have a standard order of the pepperoni hot honey pizza and pumpkin base with ‘nduja and cheese pizza . These are amazing, the dough is unlike most other places, that the crust alone is something to look forward too. The pumpkin is a personal fave, again hard to find else where and even if you can it’s nowhere near as moreish! They also have amazing vegan and gluten free options - which I have tried the vegan, and again, amazing quality and taste. They do have dessert options- the baked cheesecake is also a must try, not normally a fan of them but I for sure have been won. Sad to see this little place go but well deserved and excited to see the new place just down the road! Hoping it goes well and will be back when it opens!”

“Now we’re talking. La Collina was a treat - they have a short, simple home-made lunch menu. I had gnocchi with Bolognaise sauce. Perfect portion size. Coffee was delicious and forced myself to have a pistachio cannoli alongside it. Matt the chef is a focused on flavour and dishes with a twist - you can taste it. Nice space to work from too. Back soon. BACK AGAIN: La Collina is a hidden gem. The menu is developing from daytime only into an evening offering too. Matt, the creator and chef is passionate about the menu. New menu dropping in mid August. Go there.”

“This coffee shop is so cute. It’s become a regular for me and a friend on Wednesday mornings. Coffee and cakes are great. Meeting Lydia (the volunteer) has been such a pleasure. “I’ve heard so much about their famous matcha, and today I finally had the chance to try it. The staff recommended the freshly arrived Matcha 22, and it truly lived up to the hype – rich, authentic Japanese flavor and incredibly smooth. Absolutely delicious! Both staff members were super friendly and welcoming, especially the lady! Great drinks, great service – I’ll definitely be back!”

“I ordered on just eat and I made comments of things I didn’t want in my breakfast and as expected I were listened to. The food was absolutely amazing. Me and my other half come in here sometimes and I can say we are never disappointed. The lady and gentleman who own this place are very accommodating and so kind. “Robina and John are the most wonderful neighbours to have over the road from Hive Stores. They both work very hard to bring a lot more joy and creativity to the neighbourhood and are always willing to help where they can. The waiting room cafe has the best value full English around and the engine room is set to become a great creative hub. Whilst enjoying breakfast on our day off we conversed with familiar faces from the local neighbourhood who were enjoying crafts and socialising in a relaxed atmosphere. “The BEST venue! The heart of any establishment is it's staff. This is what makes The Spinning Top, not only special, but an incredible place to be. Mike, the landlord, is the kindest, and funniest guy you will ever meet. Our band (For The Hornets) travelled a round trip of around 9 hours to play here, and we were treated like royalty by all of the staff. It rubs off on all of the customers too, as complete outsiders we were made to feel like family. The Bar: Extremely well stocked, with a huge range of craft beers, wines, and mainsteam lagers. My draft Peroni was ice clod and in a Peroni glass - they take pride in what they do. The whole place was spotless, including the loo's. Playing as a band: As I mentioned we were treated like kings. We borrowed the house equipment (a god send for a travelling band) and it was all fantastic. Mike done the sound better than most professional sound engineers that we meet. Epilogue: The following day I had a panic attack that I'd left some vital grear at the venue, and woke Mike up at silly 'o' clock in blind panic. He was calm and extremely helpful. I'm so grateful for this. My was head slightly sore from over-indulgence.... but my abs sore from laughing all night. Absolutely incredible venue. Best in Stockport and Manchester. Would travel a long way out of my way to visit here again. 11/10.”

“Crispy chicken breast with soup udon. Iced bubble milk tea. Help yourself with different seasoning. Salt and pepper, seaweed and cheese powder and quite a few others. Would be even better if the breadcrumbs or flour not too thick. Worth trying. Milk tea and a few other drinks come at half price with food order at lunchtime. Very close to metro station or you can park and shop at Tesco Extra with three-hour free parking. Less than five minutes walk from Tesco.”

“Recommended by a friend. Had a Biscoff Latte and Nutella Latte (oat milk) and a Pistachio, cream scone. Blimey! This was EPIC. Considering we are from Devon and frequent many cafes and tried loads of scones with Devon Cream this was the best EVER! Highly recommend. Good value too!”
