“What a find. I was out for an appointment, and was early. We spotted this place, unassuming. We were greeted and seated. The breakfast was cooked from scratch fresh. No preparation, out of fridge to be cooked The value was excellent. Also I could help that community in a small way. If was in my home town would be a regular.”

“Small hidden gem, cosy atmosphere. Staff attentive and quick service. We both had burgers, The Smoker & The Texan Show Stopper.....wow. The flavours of both were great, the portion sizes were spot on. Will be back, would reccomend to others.”

“"KARIM" What can I say. Despite it being "Ramadan" He opened up the restaurant for our booking at 5pm tonight despite he had no electricity an hour before we arrived and had been fasting all day. SUPERSTAR. I have never read any review anyone who would extend themselves to this level of service. NO WORDS. Super cute lay out of furniture /tables/spacing between the tables. Such a nice vibe. Had the mixed meze. STUFFED Talking to KARIM he's planning to open up for brunch hrs 11-10pm.His dedication and his enthusiasm for his business to succeed doesn't go unnoticed. DEFINITELY ON MY RETURN LIST TO SEE HIM SUCCEED”

“A lovely cafe with welcoming staff members. They are in the perfect spot for a bite to eat at the end of your walk. They accept cards as well as cash and the prices are reasonable. A Kelly's ice cream on a nice cone was £3. There are toilets too. Parking can be difficult on weekends but we've never struggled in the week”

“Alfresco cake I'm aware of this business I have used a few times but not quite often as I used to do. The freshly made food preparation is very good value for your money. Friendly staff service very well organised business even though it's hard for the business owner to continue to do so as specially more so in these pressing times it's hard for any businesses trying to keep servicing the community at the same time trying to survive and own a living.”

“Florence Italian Cafe, unit 15 Ashton Indoor Market is very small but often full, and the reason is not hard to find. The staff are friendly, the service excellent, and the prices very competitive. £2.00 for a Nescafé coffee and £2.60 for ham and cheese toasties for example. They don’t do main meals, but well worth a visit for a drink or snack.”

“Booked a bottomless brunch, quick service and great food and drinks. We did the £5 upgrade for the better cocktails - worth it! Downside, both people had to finish their drinks before being served the others so if one drinks fast, and the other doesn’t you’re losing out because the drinks aren’t flowing. However worth the money. Would book again.”

“Amazing Karak Chai & pink tea!!! Their Mojitos are absolutely amazing I would recommend the Chico’s special!! Their breakfast is affordable and really tasty!!! Donuts are fresh soft and oozing with flavour!!! Would definitely recommend going here with family friends!! Very friendly staff and very family friendly!!”

“Lovely little hidden gem of a cafe. Really tasty food & drinks, a great atmosphere. I've lived in Mossley all my life and only found out about the existence of this place recently, but I'm definitely glad I did. Went back today (my third visit) to find a new menu. Food still of a very good quality, but I preferred the breakfast sandwich that was on the old menu. The crispy potato skins were a strange addition. I'm all for not throwing away food, but they weren't something I'd try again.”

“Intimate little restaurant serving fabulous food, all cooked on order by owner and Chef, Mandy. The paella is the best I have ever tasted but don't forget to check the specials board as well. When everything is so good it's ideal that it's tapas, perfect for sharing with family and friends. Menu prices are very reasonable and as it's BYOB, you save money bringing your own alcoholic drinks. (Edit ; they charge that small an amount for corkage i never even noticed until they replied to this review) Friendly, attentive staff in a lovely relaxed atmosphere complete the picture, making this one of my favourite places to bring the people that I love. x”

“Food and Thorn Bistro, led by Nicky and her wonderful team, catered our end-of-year team lunch and delivered directly to our offices in Piccadilly, Manchester. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. The quality of the food was fantastic, beautifully presented, incredibly flavourful, and clearly prepared with great care. Every dish not only tasted amazing but looked spectacular, taking our event to the next level and making it a truly special occasion. Nicky was an absolute delight to work with. Her professionalism, warm communication, and attention to detail made the entire process seamless. The delivery and service were exceptional, and the team went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. We will definitely be choosing the Food and Thorn team again in the future. “Great music (classic rock) and lovely bar staff. Good beer selection with 3 cask, a ton of keg including cider and usually a fruity sour too. Memorabilia on the wall. Sundays are £3/pint of cask.”
