The food and service were excellent; the paneer cocktail was something I had never had before, the naans were incredibly fluffy, and the cobra was delicious. The total cost came to about £28 per person. I'm happy to confirm that Marple Spice remains fantastic. The staff was so kind and we will definitely be returning.”

“Visited again last week. I absolutely love this place. Hidden gem. Great place to bring teenagers who prefer quiet, young adults who may be anxious and not enjoy the crowds. Can walk around as many times as like and discover all animals. Gorgeous pigs, donkeys, goats and chickens enjoying themselves. There are ping pong tables for a quick out side game, children's play equipment. A river to walk along. A cafe to sit have a snack and drink. Squirrels running up and down the trees. Some animals look like they are rescue animals and are obviously being taken care of by the farm.”

“Went here for my sister’s 30th for Sunday lunch with my family. The food was incredible and the gravy was so shiny and delicious and there was loads of it! A true northern restaurant. My grandpa also has dementia and we requested that the food was served quickly. They were very accommodating. Can’t wait to come back and try the small plates.”

“I love coming here for a breather by myself or with my little boy. He absolutely loves it, Lindsay is a gem and her food is delicious. The freshly made milkshakes go down a treat with my boy, the tea is spot on and the hot food is always tasty. There are lots of walks in the area so it's a great place to start or finish at.”

“Been wanting to check out since moving to the area and loved the cozy atmosphere. I was SO happy they had vegan milkshakes as I've not been able to find anywhere that makes them! That and my avocado bagel was delicious. Love the different food options for a little brunch. Service was super friendly too. Will definitely be back to try their tea and coffee.”

“Popped in for food and it was AMAZING!! I think new owners have taken it over about a year ago? I'm not too sure, but the menu is fabulous and everything that got brought out of the kitchen looked amazing. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back.”

“First time here and certainly won’t be the last, minced chicken with lettuce wraps and salt & pepper prawn were the most savoury light delectable starters with duck, rice and the star of the show, steamed whole sea bass for main. My oh my best sea bass I have ever eaten, moist, fell off the bone, intensely savoury liquor, no extra thickeners. Just wow. And Sunny. Sunny sunny sunny. You were the highlight of the evening. “What an absolute gem of a place, huge place filled with all sorts of wonderful bits and pieces. Two floors of excellent quality good sturdy furniture. If you find a piece but its not quite the right colour have a chat with them and they see what they can do to lighten/darken it to suit you. Excellent find lovely place. even lovelier people that run the place (so sorry My memory is shocking when it comes to names) nothing it to much for them. Will be back when me and the other half get our house”

“If you’re feeling unsure or hesitant i implore you to use forever near. I was really apprehensive (mainly just due to grief) about having baby hope’s ashes made into jewellery. The whole process was seamless. I initially messaged an enquiry and received a prompt, friendly and helpful response. I was lucky enough to take advantage of the sale which is was got me to finally commit to placing the order. There are so many colour options. Im so happy with the final product and though baby Hope can’t be in my arms, it is some comfort to know that she is with me in some capacity still. You can have your order posted recorded or you can hand deliver/collect, whichever is easiest. I chose to do it by hand and it was all very easy and convenient. So many of the companies i looked at were out of my price range, i am so grateful to have been able to make this purchase. Thank you forever near xxx”

“Excellent local café, great food and friendly staff. Mega breakfast is mega, Grilled chicken salad is very tasty, as too are the omelettes. My 10 year old son always has the burger and tells me it's awesome and loves the milkshakes. There is also a kids corner with colouring books and crayons.”

Although I only stayed 1 night, I found the hosts friendly, the rooms adequate, and breakfast set me up for a day in the saddle. I”
