Classic menu in Oldham

“Had a lovely stay including dinner and breakfast. Food was great, we had the roast dinner which was fantastic value for money at £13.95 a head. Breakfast had a good selection of hot food at the buffet. My only, very personal, preference would have been to have more egg options as I didn’t fancy the scrambled eggs and there wasn’t any other option but the rest was delicious and plentiful. Lastly, but definitely not least were the friendly, helpful staff who really made us feel welcome and valued. Highly recommend the Boat & Horses hotel too as the rooms are big, well appointed and the beds really, really comfy. Well worth a stop off.”

“The food is absolutely delicious, I recommend this place. The staff are really polite, they give your food really fast. There is a selection of food options,the hygiene is average and I admire the presentation, the safety is fine and there has never been any problems with the food. Trams and buses are available nearby, which is perfect to do pick up. Parking is also right in front of it for free! It’s an amazing place that you should try, their pizza is also a delicacy!”

“We have been using Plus Pizza since the mid 90’s & cannot recommend enough. The food is excellent & always fresh. The delivery drivers are also very polite & courteous. Update: Still the best takeaway in Oldham. We have now been using Plus Pizza for the best part of 30 years.”

“Beautiful food, my partner had a stack I went for surf and turf... Very nice.... They was a little under staffed due to ill staff,,, it was a Friday night! The young lady that seated us made us welcome and explained their situation...... We only waited 15 to order food was their in ample time and cooked to perfection...... Worthy of a visit if your in the area.”

“I don't review often but this was too good to not review, Oldham's HIDDEN GEM - Went in for the first time yesterday, very friendly Chinese family run business, was met by I believe the lovely mum at first! Ordered 1. Fish 2. Salt and Pepper Chicken 3. Chips 4. Curry Sauce Very short wait time, cooked fresh with huge portions at a low cost! Was absolutely delicious especially the Salt and Pepper Chicken, I will be ordering this again and again. The family enjoyed it so much we went for a second time today, definitely the best curry sauce in Oldham!!! They threw in a free incredibly large bag of prawn crackers which paired lovely with the curry sauce!!! I went and got the Chicken chow mein and King prawn chow mein. Order taken by the lovely boy that works there, very friendly and kind explaining the different items they have! Even took the time to ensure all items were within my dietary restrictions :D Both were incredibly well cooked and flavourful, loved it!!! This is definitely going to have to be a repeated visit even though its a 10 minute drive from me!!! Everything is incredibly fresh, very fast service, lovely workers there, the Man Sun is amazing!!! Not sure why the other reviews are awful when this is one of the best if not the best chinese chippy I have ever been to.”

“Didn't eat it there, but bartenders was really kind in the morning. I just waiting my check-in to the hostel next door. Nice espresso, real Italian coffee machine. Perfect place to start exploring Manchester, best time to visit 8-11PM on Friday. IPA, cider is ok. It was live music on Thursday.”

“Love love love this pizza hut. Sara and her team are brilliant and always fill my order in a timely manner. I enquired about the meats they use as I had one of my Muslim friends over for tea and wasn't sure if she could have the same pizza as I wanted (peperoni) was delighted to learn that their meat is now halal so me and her shared the peperoni pizza. I honestly couldn't taste the difference it was amazing as ever. Thank you again Sara for answering my question and George for the speedy delivery. Will be eating here again.”

“Please can all our customers accept our apologies for over the last few weeks for any chip issues you may have encountered, potato’s have seasons and unfortunately July / August are mixed bags which is out of our control, the mixed potatoes all fry differently. We now have the new season potatoes in stock to provide the quality of chips we are all used to from the Frydays team”

“It was a quiet place, but it was a great breakfast place. I asked a lady to make it extra spicy, and she did. It's delicious and fresh cook. Homemade paratha, omelette and dhaal - it's tasty! We enjoy it - I like their karak coffee too! Decorate is cute, and it's giving vibes. Highly recommend!”

“We came to Hei Hei’s after a huge walk and starving. We originally ordered to takeout but were kindly given drinks vouchers and so ventured to the bar upstairs. As we were waiting the lovely staff asked us if we would like to eat in the restaurant instead. We explained we would love to but our dog was waiting in the car. Mani and the other manager then said it was no problem to bring our pooch in! They treated our pup to chicken and pork before bringing us a delicious feast! The atmosphere and music was relaxed and ambient and the food was fantastic. I can’t recommend this place enough for both service and food. Needless to say, we can’t wait to return :) Recommend: the best curry sauce I’ve ever had”

“Good options for the vegetarian breakfast (Quorn sausages, bubble and squeak and has browns) which came out very promptly but properly cooked and the continental breakfast is plentiful. Kids eat for free with an adult ordering breakfast is an excellent idea too. Staff were attentive and helpful. The kids soft play area has great decor and is pretty big to keep the littuns busy and tire em out.”
