“What a lovely experience. Although I am slightly sore now after a few hours. Very professional and informative. Zahid carefully went through the stages with me. Immediately after the session I was offered a hot drink - honey, black seed oil and Shilajit together with some dates. I even had a follow up call to further explain the treatment and it's affects I would definitely recommend the Hijama at The Therapy Clinic”

“I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. Jo is everything you would want in a therapist. She is empathetic, caring and human and takes the trouble to really get to know you and what is ailing you before she even starts to look at ideas to help - very refreshing, given that most therapists in my experience have prematurely diagnosed you and started you on a generic treatment plan before you've even told them your name. Jo has the ability to put you at ease instantly and is ridiculously easy to talk to. More importantly, when you walk out of the door she doesn't forget about you until your next visit. On numerous occasions between sessions, I would receive an email checking up on me and seeing how things were going - each time I arrived at a session she had full recollection of where we left etc, etc. I only visited Jo's practice for 3 months due to personal circumstances, but she achieved more progress with me in that time than I could have dreamed possible. I will finish this review with the same sentence that I started it - I cannot recommend this practice highly enough.”

“I meant to write this review a while ago and completely forgot! (Sorry Harry!) Overall, a fantastic experience of self reflection, learning, and spending time with someone really knowledgeable and experienced was fantastic. I wasn't in the worst shape of my life when I came to Leading Edge but I definitely left feeling better and more fulfilled with what I have in life and what I know I can achieve. And for that I want to thank Harry and whole heartedly recommend his services to anyone that either needs that extra push, or wants to explore something in their mind deeper and on a more personal level than you might have elsewhere.”

“Jen is an amazing therapist. I’ve been seeing her for about two and a half years, and she’s helped me through some really tough times. She’s always there to support you with whatever you need, and if it’s in her hands, she’ll do it without hesitation. Today we started walking therapy, and it was honestly such a great experience. Thank you so much, Jen.”

    The ADHD Centre Manchester

“I can’t stress just how helpful Dr. Ankur Kumar has been. I was keen to ensure I saw a consultant who I had a strong sense of confidence in, so I would have complete faith in the accuracy of diagnosis and advice regarding treatment. Dr. Kumar absolutely fit the books as a specialised consultant who had previously been part of the team handling ADHDers at the renowned SLaM mental health hospital, and I was drawn to his profile on the ADHD centre website as a young, experienced doctor with a good vibe that I could hopefully identify and communicate with as much as possible. From diagnosing my ADHD in a robust and detailed assessment to supporting me with titration of medicine, I always felt that the key to Dr. Kumar’s treatment was enabling me to make informed choices and take control of my treatment so it worked for me. This isn’t to say that his strong expertise wasn’t there to steer me - rather that he supported my acting as an active participant in each step of my treatment pathway with the independence to make guided choices. This was hugely important for me and this process has been one of assuming a greater degree of control over my life and health. Dr. Kumar was honest, empathetic and non-judgmental. I felt I could be open and say more or less anything to him, which is something I usually find challenging with doctors. He had great insight into my experience and feelings, and was able to articulate where I felt unable to express myself fully. I couldn’t have asked for a better physician for this, and I felt confident I was in the best possible hands. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Kumar to anybody seeking diagnosis or treatment for ADHD. He is clearly very experienced at engaging and communicating with neurodivergent individuals. I felt valued and respected as an equal partner in dialogue and planning regards treatment choices, which is a remarkable achievement for a condition where so often one can feel isolated, misunderstood and an outsider to society’s common perspectives and experiences. To this extent I felt Dr. Kumar gave me confidence and calm, reassurance and encouragement. Dr. Kumar built me up when my expectation going in to a space of clinical intervention and psychiatric evaluation was one of feeling diminished, vulnerable and a person who might come across mentally unwell. I’d expected to be placed under the looking glass of a serious doctor in a serious white coat, to dictate to me how I should deal with my serious problems. This wasn’t my experience at all. On top of having confidence in his advice, clear experience and knowledge, his relaxed and approachable manner was refreshing. Being able to talk freely about my experience of ADHD and make decisions with help of a compassionate, empathetic expert helped with feelings of being out of touch with others due to this condition, and of lacking capacity to take meaningful control of my life. Dr. Kumar has a genuine and clear interest in the wellbeing of his patients - whether that’s in relation to treatment impacting on work performance, daily life or otherwise. He is a kind and emotionally astute individual. He’s also very funny at times. While I am here I should give a special mention to the admin team - particularly Dr. Kumar’s fantastic receptionist Leanne Ford - prompt to respond, highly conscientious, and helpful with queries and requests. Do see Dr. Ankur Kumar if you think you have ADHD, you won’t find the experience difficult in the slightest. My only regret is not doing so earlier! I look forward to continued follow ups into the future and continued progress under his supervision and guidance.”

“I have just completed therapy with Sophie. The whole process with healthy minds was so good. Right from the self referral online to a telephone assessment and then my therapy. This has truly been life changing for me and I can't thank Sophie enough. Amazing service! I highly recommend for anyone who is struggling with their mental health! Everyone I have had contact with has been empathetic, kind and so helpful.”

“I was very doubtful when I first started my high intensity therapy due to having past bad experiences. My therapist Abida has been absolutely amazing and listened to me and what I want and do not want in relation to wording of things. This was from the very start so this enabled us to begin this journey with knowing what to expect from each other. I am not going to lie and say it was plain sailing because it was far from it reliving and revealing hidden memories but with the help of Abida and her compassion and empathy I am now in a much better place and have the tools to be able to keep going in my therapeutic journey. Never once did I feel judged or patronised whilst in my sessions like before. Abida has been my absolute rock throughout this painful and traumatic experience and I am so so appreciative of the help, support and guidance that I have received. I understand not all therapists are the same but set boundaries and ground rules for you both at the beginning and please listen to your therapist they know what they are doing, and as tough as it gets please do NOT give up it's worth it in the end I promise. I have just finished my 20 session and a quote from me that I have made in relation to my experience is "You cannot heal, if you cannot feel " Thank you Abida and good luck to everyone else who is thinking of starting this journey, is in this journey good luck or who has finished this journey well done be proud of yourself because I know I am. Thank you Abida ❤️”

“I’ve always received really good care, I have been under this therapy several times and every counsellor I’ve had has been really understanding, patient and made me feel open enough to communicate. As well as the admin team, they have always been really understanding and communicative.”
