They go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcome and leaves with a full belly and a big smile. The food is absolutely outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions that make sure you never leave hungry. Every dish tastes like it’s been made with love, and you can tell how much pride the team takes in what they do. It’s rare these days to find a restaurant where the owners are so hands-on, personally checking in to make sure everything is perfect. That level of care really sets this place apart. Highly recommend for anyone who loves amazing food, great service, and a true family atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back”

“We have been going to waterhead Tandoori for quite a few years now, and after promising we will leave a review, it's not before time. If you want excellent well prepared and cooked food, this is the place. The food is always excellent, the service is prompt, the premises are so clean you could literally eat your meal off the floor, and Al, is the nicest most polite guy you could ever hope to meet. He's always pleasant, upbeat, and is genuinely interested in how your day has been. The chefs are on full view hard at work, and everything seems to run like clockwork. Myself and Christine, cannot recommend this place enough. Thanks again to Al and his team of excellent chefs, we will continue to buy our curries from this clean, pleasant, well run establishment. “Ordered a takeaway last night for the first time from here. Really good fast delivery and the food was excellent. Really good quality ingredients, the mushroom rice was a meal in itself. Having the remains for dinner today as we don’t want to wast it. Would highly recommend.”

“I've been using this chippy for the last 40yrs plus and it is by far the best in the area Sue the owner is great although I think she's retired now and her children run it,if you fancy a Chinese then give this place a try ,you won't be disappointed.”

“Lovely, small hotel. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Nice pub too, Excellent breakfast. We stayed one night for the standedge tunnel canoe trip. Stayed here on Friday night and then the owner gave us a lift to marsden on sat morning to join the canoe trip. Diggle end of the tunnel is 200m from the hotel. Recommended.”

“Had a lunch out with oir eldely parents this lunchtime, we travelled over from Huddersfield. The service and food was very nice and the my partner highly recommends the Lees bitter. Not been here for quite a fee years. The new management has greatly improved. Will defo go back. (Didnt take photos of food)”

“This place has certainly become my go-to option on Uber Eats. Always some decent promotions going on with some food items on half the price. I must say I am always impressed with the packaging and quantity of food. The containers are absolutely loaded up to the brim, and the food is delicious. There are lots of options to choose from from the menu. I love the concept of 3 different gravies on a portion of rice, with each bite having a different taste to it. I have ordered about 4 times already, and I am always craving for more. Their chapatis are bang on. Can't fault much about them, to be honest. If suggestions are asked for, then perhaps they need to improve on their delivery times. Can take up to 100 minutes on a Friday. Also, might also need to hold off on the extra layer of oil added on every portion . It makes the food slightly oily and less clean. Love from barkwell lane”

“Lovely Chinese takeaway. The family are so nice especially mother and daughter who tend be out front. Food is excellent I really enjoy it. My personal favourites are the barbecue spare ribs ( dry) very little fat on these and delicious and Char Siu satay delicious and just enough spice and heat but not too much. We have never been disappointed with our food and as we tend to have a big order there's always something added free like prawn crackers or drinks. I used to live near to happy house but I'm a little further away now and don't get to see the lady who owns it but I wish her all the very best, she always gave the children and I fortune cookies and was ever kind and gracious”
