“My two girls have been with Damien Hey Dance Academy for six months, and we couldn’t be happier. Both Damien and Sam always go above and beyond to make sure all of their students achieve what they are capable of, but more importantly provide a nurturing environment that their kids feel happy in and are made to feel part of the DHDA family as soon as they walk through the door for the first time! They are fully invested from day one! Both girls already having danced for a number of years at a different school, we made the move to DHDA and the incredible progress they have both made absolutely makes the 490 mile round trip for lessons worth it! They come home enthusiastic and excited for the next one. I cannot thank Damien and Sam enough for all they do! If I could give more than five stars on here I would!”

“I cannot rate this dance school enough. My daughter had her ballet exam there yesterday and the staff were terrific. There was a pre-exam rehearsal and free ballet bun making if required. The staff really care about the children while setting the bar high. Thanks Miss Kerry and Miss Stalder!”

“We love KAS Academy. We have been coming for years, ballet, acrobatics, drama and contemporary dance lessons, all excellent! We also love the school holiday camps, such a great experience and the family get to enjoy an amazing show at the end. Highly recommended!”

“My little boy (3) has been attending TNA since just after just 1st birthday and will soon be turning 4. He does the lil Beatz dance class and he attends musical theatre. He loves attending Dance and Drama each week and has made lots of friends. He adores all the staff and has a good relationship with some of the girls in the older classes too. My son has a lot of energy and attending these classes has helped him learn positive ways to Chanel that energy and his listening ears have improved massively. “Amazing place! Completely in love with the atmosphere, instructors and classes! They make you welcome, make you laugh, you end up being part of a massive family. It's not a dance school, it's a community. Classes are catered for all abilities so even if you think you can't dance, they'll teach you step by step with patience and a good enough pace, you just need to commit to it. You'll make new friends and have loads of great time. You dont need to worry you don't have a partner as you'll dance with everyone in your class!!”

There are so many classes to choose from, starting at baby classes for the little ones to acro dance class and street dance and then freestyle and Latin too! The teachers and principal are so welcoming and really do pay so much attention to all the children and make them feel like they can achieve anything. Couldn’t recommend it enough!”

“Corey has been a member of Stage and Screen since March when he joined part way through the rehearsals for The Sound of Music having been cast as the role of Max. We honestly can not speak highly enough of Sophie and Matt and all the staff at Stage and screen. They have nurtured and encouraged Corey to be the best he can be on stage whilst making every weekly session enjoyable. The end of year performance of The Sound of Music was just amazing, super professional with great casting and so much talent! I would also like to add that Corey has made a great group of new friends who have the same common interest and champion/encourage eachother along the way. Corey absolutely loves going to rehearsals and can not wait to be part of the next show Legally Blonde whilst also being part of the stage and screen community. I can not thank you enough for giving Corey a great platform to continue his love of performing in musical theatre.”

So very thankful for all CPA do for my daughter and seeing how much she has flourished under their care, training and guidance during the past 3 years has been a joy to see. We travel quite a distance to attend CPA, but is worth every mile and cannot recommend enough. My daughter is now going onto attend the Classical Pathway Btec course at CPA and we are over the moon that this is an option for dancers leaving school wishing to consider a career within this industry. “Turners is an amazing school. We travel across the Pennines to be apart of this wonderful professional dance school. My daughter has danced at turners for several years and has gained not only friendships but awards and has been given ample opportunities and experiences. “My daughter has been coming here for a year now doing Ballet on Saturday, 45 minute class. She really enjoys her classes with Miss. Emily and Miss Jenny. We absolutely loved the Great Showman performance in the Parr Hall. She loved her beautiful sparkly costume and dancing on the stage. Initially she did not know anyone and now she chats to Jennys mum as she helps her with her muddy football boots and shin pads, (as she come straight off the pitch to ballet) she says her own name for the register and skips into class with a smile. The little things matter and the friendly atmosphere helps her to thrive. I am hoping that the twins will be able to join Little crew shortly. Highly recommended x”

“Alice has been attending dance studio 1 since 2 1/2 years old and is now 15 She went in as a shy toddler and her confidence has grown immensely. She's done numerous exams in ballet,tap and theatre craft. Every 2 years she's taken part in a stage performance open to the public to watch. Since starting high school she’s become a studio assistant. Helping out with all the younger ones. Because of this Alice had just received a recognition at St Monica's for her dancing and kindness in helping others.Her dancing helped her through the pandemic as it continued throughout on zoom. I cant believe how much Alice has progressed since the beginning. It's not just dancing anymore it's literally her second family. Alice is in her GCSE year at school and dancing is her release for when revising gets tough. Exercise is so important to enable a healthy mind which helps with revision.
