Although our primary focus was an emphasis good pastoral care and holistic development versus pure academic targets, we’ve been happy to note that he performs well above a broad group of his peers in this aspect. He has been stretched in areas where he was strong and supported in those he currently struggled with. As a consequence, he no longer finds mathematics onerous and takes pleasure in demonstrating his skills. We look forward to his pursuing opportunities in music and on the sports field in the coming years. A welcome bonus has been making new friends with other parents from a wide range of backgrounds. Accepting that we may be biased given the wealth of excellent state primary schools in Trafford, overall our experience with the school has been a good one, supporting our choice for an independent school in general and St Ambrose in particular.”
