“We have been going to waterhead Tandoori for quite a few years now, and after promising we will leave a review, it's not before time. If you want excellent well prepared and cooked food, this is the place. The food is always excellent, the service is prompt, the premises are so clean you could literally eat your meal off the floor, and Al, is the nicest most polite guy you could ever hope to meet. He's always pleasant, upbeat, and is genuinely interested in how your day has been. The chefs are on full view hard at work, and everything seems to run like clockwork. Myself and Christine, cannot recommend this place enough. Thanks again to Al and his team of excellent chefs, we will continue to buy our curries from this clean, pleasant, well run establishment. “Went there last minute as our other plans didn't work out. I have to say I was shocked by how good the food was as I hadn't heard anything about the place. First of all I love the decor. They have made a really nice and cosy environment. And the food was just beautiful. I will definitely go back. The young staff were so good and well mannered.”

“Lovely, small hotel. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Nice pub too, Excellent breakfast. We stayed one night for the standedge tunnel canoe trip. Stayed here on Friday night and then the owner gave us a lift to marsden on sat morning to join the canoe trip. Diggle end of the tunnel is 200m from the hotel. Recommended.”

“Even though we have moved out of Chadderton we still always use this takeaway to get a set meal for 3 (which feeds 4 easily, with leftovers, and is very reasonably priced at £30 odd). The food is well cooked and fresh. It's the best Chinese takeaway I have had. The only slight quibble is that it would be amazing if they could have a few gluten free options, the lady on the phone did not seem to understand the term 'gluten free' and so my coeliac brother in law had to make do with a gluten free egg fried rice and chicken from Mabel's Chippy Middleton via Ubereats, and the chicken was nice but the egg fried rice was flavourless, and it cost as much as our entire set meal for 3!”

“Great Indian supermarket, fresh herbs, garlic, chilli ( lots of varietys) at about half the normal supermarket price. Lots and lots of dried beans , peas, lentils and other pulses , a very good range of ground spices and curry mixs in different size bags from about 250g upto 1kg A good range of jars of curry sauce / pastes . Huge bags of rice. A good range of oils A limited range of yoghurt, butter, cold drinks . Some kitchen equipment like sives, huge pans, tin openers. But the best thing is the staff , they are friendly and accommodating and can answer all sorts of questions regarding their stock , like how to cook things , what would go best with different sauces , how to prepare / store the fresh herbs and spices.”
