“Lovely place! Prices are excellent, the portions are very generous and the flavor and presentation doesn’t disappoint. The woman and the boy that served were friendly! It was a bit packed and it’s a bit small but we didn’t wait more than 20 minutes once we order.”
“Such a cute place to stop for a rest and get a great iced latte! The cake is pre prepared, I’ve had a few different ones and some have been fresh and great, the others have been a little on the stale side, but still enjoyable. The bacon rolls are yummy!”
“We had a fabulous Christmas dinner today. The service was excellent and the food was cooked to perfection. I recommend that if you’re in the area call in you won’t be disappointed.”
“Dishoom Spinningfields is one of my favourite restaurants in Manchester. When it first opened back in 2018, it was Dishoom’s first restaurant in Northern England, and since then they’ve set a remarkable standard of both food and service quality and certainly left me coming back for more. The interior is super impressive, cool and unique. Dishoom is based on the old Irani cafés in Bombay, and the interior is so large and feels like no other restaurant in the city. My go-to dishes are the Chicken Ruby with Basmati Rice and occasionally the Gunpowder Potatoes. The portion sizes are generous, and the rich spices of the curry are super good — it’s obvious they use great quality ingredients and seasonings. For drinks, again the selection is vast, with my favourites being the regular Chai and the Mango Lassi, which are both really good. There is always a staff member walking around topping up tap water, so you’ll never go thirsty. The pricing is a little high, but I feel it is worth it for the quality. Matka Holders can also roll a dice at the end of their meal to potentially earn everything for free, food and alcohol included, during certain times. This makes it all fun, being able to put the meal on the roll of a dice. Due to having an allergy, I can scan a QR code on the menu for the latest information, and all the staff members are well trained in dealing with allergies. They’re aware of coeliac disease and the danger of cross-contamination, and always keep my items separate from my friends’ when I dine in a group. Overall, this is one of the places to be in Manchester if you’re looking for good food with fantastic allergy awareness, overall ambience/vibes, food and service quality. It’s a place that you can go for a special occasion or even a quick lunch (although a lunch menu / meal-deal offer would make it even more enticing for sure!).”
“The staff at this cafe are incredibly polite and more than willing to cater to the customers' preferences. For instance, I requested a perfectly cooked bacon butty with the fat cut off, and they delivered flawlessly. Moreover, the cafe exudes a pleasant ambiance with its neat and well-organized interior, accompanied by a charming outside seating area. And let's not forget the real highlight - the food is absolutely delightful, making every visit a delightful culinary experience.”
“An absolute hidden gem. The breakfast was amazing, with good quality products, and extremely well priced. Staff friendly and polite. Can't recommend this place enough. Easy 5***** review.”

“Popped in today for the first time. Lovely staff and warm atmosphere. People sitting reading their papers, having a chat and having some food. I grabbed a sausage and egg butty and it hit the spot. I'll certainly be back!”
“What a gem to drop onto whilst driving through Buxton. Definitely worth a stop if you want a bite to eat. Excellent spot A clean plate because the food was that good”
“Great space to sit down and do a bit of reading/writing. Cheap as chips - hot chocolate for just £1.30!! Came with complementary chocolate (not found in the picture because I scranned it). Cream and marshmallows cost no extra - a welcome change from larger chain cafés Staff are lovely - seems to be run by Wonder Woman with a smile, and her band of merry lasses. Delightful pink and green interior (avant garde) Cleanliness without fault. Overall a surprise to find today, nestled near what could historically be considered a "rough" part of Blackley, but you wouldn't think it with the lovely hospitality. I expect this business to go far. Keep up the cracking work ladies.”
“Top quality clean, tasty breakfast. Best in the area.”
“Really enjoyable Valentines meal here yesterday evening . Glass of champagne on the house on arrival, warm and romantic environment, tasty 3 course meal. Great mushroom starter, followed by sirloin steak and sticky toffee pudding,. Thank you Karen we had a lovely evening”
“Ever meandered through Chorlton Park and missed the Tibetan cafe? Well, I finally gave it a go and oh boy, what a joy! Snug by the playground, it's perfect for foodie families, picnic punters, and anyone on the prowl for friendly faces and hearty portions! Tried the sha sha chicken and the momos, both worthy contenders, but it was the cauliflower stir-fry with rice and veggies that stole my heart (and stomach). This humble veggie is transformed into a showstopper so delectable, it might just compel you to write poetry. So, gather the kiddos, nab a sunny spot and get ready for a taste of Tibet that'll have you planning your next visit before you've even left!”
“Had a wonderful experience this morning. Ruby welcomed me with a smile and suggested an addition to my order which was phenomenal. Carlos brought my full order to my table and made sure I had everything I needed. Catherine bused the dishes from my table when I was finished and ensured I was satisfied with everything. I had a lovely conversation with all three of them after I was finished and left feeling very thankful this was the coffee shop I chose while I was in town for a day. Very personable pleasant experience”
“Great Food with good proportion, Friendly service. Food are delicious and cooked with heart. Very good proportion with reasonable price. Definitely will come back again.”
“Excellent food, staff make you feel welcome”
“Nice cafe, with a very pleasant owner, a good variety menu, my wife and i, were visiting for breakfast, 1 veggie breakfast, 1 medium size breakfast, both hit the spot, washed down with a pot of tea, which we shared, a good 2 cups each. Made a nice change from the sterile, bland pub breakfast. As the cafe used much better quality ingredients, the butchers sausages were very tasty.”
“First visit today (3 September 2024) and sad to see that they're closing permanently, final day of trading Friday 6 September 2024. The bacon and sausage muffin was top notch.”
“We had a fabulous experience here recently for my son's birthday party. So well set up, the slot is broken up into 30ish minute chunks so the children stay engaged and entertained. Our helpers were Liberty, Elizabeth, Amy and Gabby, and were all fantastic with the children and adults alike. They couldn't do enough. Thank you, we will be back I'm sure!”
“Always busy whenever we go, the food comes quickly and is very tasty. Staff are friendly, and the menu is reasonably priced.”
“Really cool place, it is uniquely cool. Nice interior and atmosphere. Good prices on both food and drink. It’s nice to a hot meal for under a tenner. 10/10 recommendation”
“I popped down to Moda for breakfast on Wednesday morning (their opening day) I had the steak and eggs with the healthy breakfast bowl and it was stunning both dishes were full of flavour and well cooked. Inside the decor is beautiful and calming with a great vibe. The staff are friendly, attentive and nothing is too much trouble. I looked over the drinks menu and so much choice for everyone's taste. I can’t wait to go again.”
“The Gallery Café at Manchester Art Gallery offers a relaxed and welcoming environment to enjoy seasonal British dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. The menu includes hearty mains, fresh salads, and a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Desserts are made in-house, featuring cakes like pistachio and lime or banana loaf with cream cheese frosting. The café also serves a range of coffees, specialty teas, and wines. Located in the city centre, it’s a great spot to rest and refuel while exploring the gallery or nearby attractions.”
“Food was absolutely delicious. We had the banana french toast and the salami and prosciutto ciabatta. The best we’ve had. Good portion sizes and great value for money.”
“Absolutely lovely, the park is so pretty and the staff here are super stars! I’d recommend feeding the ducks at the pond just up the hill to, and afterwards try the chicken curry, it’s life changing.”
“Good food friendly people would recommend”
“Great food at good prices. Only disappointment they had no black pudding left for breakfast. Partner had tuna mayo jacket spud. It was huge.”
“A very pleasant coffee shop just outside Manchester Victoria railway station. Part of Hotel Indigo. Surprisingly large with a choice of comfortable rooms and seats. Cakes and breakfast butties available. Newspapers free to read. Taking Alic on a rare outing. Boothroyd chose him for this trip. There ia also a bar that I've never been to! Americano £3. Lovely staff.”
“Had a lovely afternoon tea at Sweet Bakes, food was very tasty and the staff really pleasant and attentive. Will recommend to our family and friends.”
