“BBQ’D is honestly the best steakhouse in town! The food is amazing — my steak was cooked perfectly, tender and full of flavour, with great sides to match. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, always checking in to make sure everything’s spot on. The place has such a nice, relaxed vibe, perfect for family dinners or a night out with friends and famliy. You can tell they really care about quality and service — definitely my go-to spot for a good meal!”

“This review will be updated with more photos eventually! Smashville Oldham is head and shoulders above the competition in the area. Using well seasoned prime mince and having some of the best chicken tenders around, there are many reasons to make a second order here. Initially, we bought the munch box, which comprises of a choice of two patties, two tacos, two tenders, a portion of chips, drinks and a waffle. I can't explain in words how good the box is, because each bit is as different and flavoursome as the last. The products in the pictures are a set of their seasoned tenders, Korean (spicy) tenders and a biscoff waffle. The chicken has a light batter that is crunchy to the taste and is smothered in Korean spicy sauce. Stronger than buffalo, it's something most people will find a comfortable level of heat. The review left here has to state that Just Eat are a shocking method to choose to buy food from these guys through. At no fault of their own, the Just Eat driver we had either ate or lost part of the order. Smashville went above and beyond to try and arrange a remedy on the day, but being a Friday it was busy and just not possible. They have however, made upon request, the missing elements of the order with some free additional tenders and a waffle to boot. I have genuinely never had a takeaway where the staff have been as polite or gone above and beyond to fix an issue that wasn't even their fault. We will be returning to Smashville and I encourage you to do the same. Screw Just Eat.”

“First trip to Oldham town centre for almost 50 years! Oldham road once had pubs on almost every corner as you headed there from Manchester City Centre, many from the long gone Oldham brewery. Madge fancied a trip on the Metro and we spotted this pub in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Well worth the trip for just this corner pub. A bank of ten real ales. Great vibe plus a front pavement seating area. Madge found a new Oldham brewery..We are Wolf. Bar snacks incl sausage rolls. Great visit.”

“Beautiful. Located in the quaint town of Uppermill, this chic cafe bar is a faithful spinoff of one of Uppermill’s best cafes, Caffe Grande Abaco. This cafe bar has a nice rustic and authentic atmosphere, like a traditional cafe bar you may find in Italy. Also, the staff are really friendly (10/10), especially Nigel (the owner), who was great to me. Plus, I went to Caffe Grande Abaco for 10 years, and it was quite emotional to meet Nigel, as I was always asking the staff at Caffe Grande Abaco, “Is the owner in?”. Now, back to Veloce! The cafe offers a variety of drinks, handpicked from CGA (at this point, I’m going to shorten it - Caffe Grande Abaco). So, you can have a nice latte or a cosy hot chocolate while you chill and warm up here. Surprisingly, it is also a deli, since they have charcuterie meats and cheeses, condiments, authentic Mediterranean pastries and biscuits, and even freshly baked bread (so authentic!). I tried Rogers Pistachio Cruffin (mix between a croissant and a muffin) which was crispy and flaky on the outside, but fluffy and indulgent on the inside, and the silky pistachio cream made it even better. Perfect for breakfast! They also do sandwiches here, with fresh sourdough and scrumptious meats and cheeses and even flaky sausage rolls. What I really want to mention, however, is the fact that they are supporting local businesses. Most things here (the pastries, products and even honey) are made by small businesses in towns near Uppermill, which is really nice as Veloce is helping out those businesses. Overall, this place is a must if you are looking for a proper Italian cafe bar, and some delicious food. It is also perfect if you want to buy some charcuterie meats and cheeses, as they have a wide variety of them. Only complaint is, Veloce really needs to bring in some Arancini, as I don’t see much Arancini in Saddleworth, and I’m very sad about that. “I’ve been coming to The Hare and Hounds in Middleton week after week, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. From the classic Sunday roast to the rotating chef’s specials, the food is consistently 10/10 — it’s far beyond what you’d expect from pub food and easily rivals high-end restaurants. Every dish is beautifully presented, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are almost unbelievable given the quality you get. Drinks are also great value, with top brands served at very reasonable prices. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help, no matter how busy it gets. They always do their best to accommodate everyone including dietary needs, and make you feel right at home. Whether you’re after a comforting roast, a special night out, or just a few drinks in a warm atmosphere, this place delivers every time. Highly recommended — easily one of the best pubs in the area!”

“A superb spot for a relaxed Sunday lunch, where dogs are very much welcomed. The food offering is to a very high standard, whilst not the lowest prices, the cost reflects the quality of the produce. All the staff I encountered were excellent and appeared to be very enthusiastic about what they are doing. Cleanliness couldn't be faulted in the public areas.”

“A spur of the moment decision on a Sunday late Sunday afternoon. A Walk in without a reservation late on Sunday afternoon, the pub was relatively busy and there was a small queue of people waiting to be seated. Whilst guest were being seated, the lady behind the bar could see that we were waiting. She stopped what she was doing, she greeted us with a cherry hello, and confirmed if we had a reservation which we haven’t. She said it was no bother had a table available And it will only take two ticks to wipe down and set up. We both went for the Sunday lunch one roast beef one roast lamb the meals came to the table within 20 minutes and I have to say one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in years we finished off With one cheesecake and two spoons. The staff here at the Horton were most definitely on their a game when we visited on Sunday. Polite professional and welcoming. We will most definitely be returning to the Horton Arms.”

“This pub is not part of your normally brewery chain. It's back to the old days were a couple run the bar with their lovely team. The pub is clean and warm and appears to have been recently modernised. It has a homely feel, friendly atmosphere, reasonable priced drinks and a wide variety of gins and tonics which we enjoyed trying.”

“This place is a hidden gem! I ordered starter and main from the specials board. Both were delicious, freshly cooked and generous portion sizes. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the prices very reasonable. Bring your own booze was a bonus! Will definitely go back.”

The Chicken tikka, Lamb Tikka, seekh and donner meats are all juicy and tasty and the medium sauce is also tasty. I gave it 5 stars because there wasn't an option to give 10. Give this place a chance it's banging”
