Healthy dining in Altrincham

“Great place. Staff know their menu and helped us choose. Pasta dishes were hearty and rich. Lovely atmosphere, feels busy but cosy.”

“Visited here today and had a great meal. The Gurkha beer is really nice, I told myself I'd only have one as they're 660ml but I ended up having 2 as they were so good. Ended up having the mixed main as a starter but if I went again I'd just have several portions of the lamb chops, the rest of the meat was very nice (quite spicy for anyone worried about spice) but the lamb chops were amazing. Had the duck masala main and the lamb Gurkha curry, would highly recommend the Gurkha Curry it was fantastic, the duck was nice it's different than most Curries so if you want something more aromatic it's something to try. Bread was nice, poppadoms nice and the chutneys were good too. Between 2 of us spent £77 but had separate sides, rice's and effectively 3 main courses and a couple of beers/soft drinks so I'd say it was good value for the quality and quantity of meat. Give it a try, you won't regret it.”

“The cafe is brilliantly located right in the toddler play area at Stamford park. Having a cafe with a toilet is very convenient when I'm out and about with the kids. They have friendly staff, great coffee, lovely atmosphere & fabulous value.”

“The best day out ever, the farm is beautiful and full of so much character and amazing animals to see, I absolutely loved it and feeding the animals and holding the lambs was an amazing highlight! The staff are all so kind too, thank you for an incredible day !! We will definitely be back! 10/10 so fabulous and beautiful escape with amazing scenery too.”

“Robina and John are the most wonderful neighbours to have over the road from Hive Stores. They both work very hard to bring a lot more joy and creativity to the neighbourhood and are always willing to help where they can. The waiting room cafe has the best value full English around and the engine room is set to become a great creative hub. Whilst enjoying breakfast on our day off we conversed with familiar faces from the local neighbourhood who were enjoying crafts and socialising in a relaxed atmosphere. Thank you Robina and John for always helping, making us laugh and generally being authentic people. You've created a great space!”

“I've not had a chippy tea for a long time, and I've not been to this chippy for ever longer. Just getting over the flu I couldn't be bothered cooking so thought I'd go for Fish & Chips. It was a great decision, Im not sure if this place has a new ownership in the last few years but the Fish & chips with mild curry sauce was 10/10. Very impressed, give it a go!”

“This cafe should shout about itself more. Second visit and just as good as the first time. Everything we had was fresh and tasted home cooked. Generous portions and great value. We were spoilt for choice on the menu so tried the five salad option and a slice of the greek spanakopita. Both excellent and couldn’t fault seasoning and flavours. Dessert was great too.”

“This place is amazing, from the gorgeous food, the eclectic decor and the lovely, attentive staff that help to make this an wonderful experience from the moment you enter until the time when you don't want to leave. A must if you're in Altrincham. Definitely a food and people place. Can't wait until we go again. They should sell a recipe book of some of these dishes, especially those great dishes they don't do anymore.”

“Such a lovely place. Wonderful food, volunteers, people and atmosphere. There is a nice store that sells nice wine, soaps, salt, jewellery, greeting cards including wooden greetings cards, chutney, tea, jams..and many more. For me, it's love at first sight.”

“The food is absolutely fantastic ! The price is very affordable . This restaurant is run by a friendly family. Their sons help out in the restaurant with good manners. Once you arrive there , they immediately ask you what you want to eat and drink . Also , they have a large variety of food and drinks to choose from . This is definitely one of my favourite restaurant.”

The food is superb with first class flavours and presentation accompanied by excellent wine. All of this at incredibly affordable prices makes it an experience not to be missed! “I’ve just had their beyond meat burger and it’s by far the best burger I’ve ever had! Not just vegan/vegetarian but any burger. It was so flavoursome and well presented. The chips were great too! Delivery was quick and I loved that the packaging didn’t include any plastic.”
