“I had a lovely lunch here yesterday, good offer of all the standard all day breakfast stuff as well as healthier options like salads, baked potatoes and lunch specials. Good value for money, much more reasonably priced than other eateries in Hale. Give it a try”

“Robina and John are the most wonderful neighbours to have over the road from Hive Stores. They both work very hard to bring a lot more joy and creativity to the neighbourhood and are always willing to help where they can. The waiting room cafe has the best value full English around and the engine room is set to become a great creative hub. Whilst enjoying breakfast on our day off we conversed with familiar faces from the local neighbourhood who were enjoying crafts and socialising in a relaxed atmosphere. Thank you Robina and John for always helping, making us laugh and generally being authentic people. You've created a great space!”

“Such a lovely place. Wonderful food, volunteers, people and atmosphere. There is a nice store that sells nice wine, soaps, salt, jewellery, greeting cards including wooden greetings cards, chutney, tea, jams..and many more. For me, it's love at first sight.”

“The young lady that served us was brilliant so helpful lovely and so helpful. The food was fantastic highly recommended the halal breakfast and my friend loved the omelette. The Earl gray tea came in the most wonderful tea pot and was fantastic. My friend loves the coffees so much has two cups every time. If you have never been you have to try you will not be disappointed I guarantee it. We will be coming once a week from now on may be more. I have to say that the toilets hear are really clean and the double seats one for adults and a second for children shows a real family cafe.”

“Called in for the first time today just as I was passing. Bought a few things then thought I’d visit the cafe for coffee and cake . Really nice small cafe. Totally spotless and the most amazing thing was the great service and friendliness of the lovely lady who works there. ( blonde plaited pony tail ) Thank you so much . “Had a lovely experience at the village cafe today, was greeted by the lovely waitress ella who seated us immediately alll the staff were so lovely and there was no wait with our food, which tasted absolutely amazing i ordered the Breakfast wrap which was absolutely delicious and the smoothie was so yummy. So impressed with the team here!”

“Nice little café which is pretty hidden away. The full English breakfast is very good, and the Spicy Chicken Mix is very tasty. The Wo Tiep dumplings are delicious, and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommended.”

“I recently visited the cafe place and it was a fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The interior is beautifully designed, with a perfect balance of modern and rustic touches. The staff really knows their stuff when it comes to food – you can tell they take pride in what they do. I also loved the music and the general vibe of the place – perfect for a relaxing break or catching up with friends. Highly recommend if you're looking for great coffee and a welcoming environment. “Can’t recommend Shay Trainor highly enough. I had a running injury a few months ago and went to see a physio in London who was unable to diagnose the issue but thought it was related to my hip. I was left unsure how to progress. I went to see Shay today who has assessed it as a piriformis syndrome and given me some exercises to work on. I am so relieved to have a diagnosis and also to have received expert advice on how to get back into running and fitness. A huge thank you to Shay. Your help is greatly appreciated.”

“Great food whether you want home baking, an Italian special or just a bacon sandwich. Thoroughly recommend the cappuccino with a double shot of espresso (think big flat white). Lovely atmosphere and dog friendly too. Can't recommend too highly.”

“What can I say! I’ve been coming daily to Kickback for my morning coffee for over three years. The coffee is excellent, that’s a given. It’s meeting Saskia, Harvey, Toby and Chris that makes me want to go daily. They make a great team - everyone is made to feel welcome and special. You can immediately tell they take pride in their work and genuinely care about both the quality of the coffee and the experience of everyone who walks in. Oli in particular has this effortless way of making the space feel welcoming, friendly, and his attentiveness is very wholesome. He remembers people’s preferences, checks in with guests thoughtfully, and the whole atmosphere runs smoothly under his watch. The drinks are consistently excellent, the service is efficient but personal, and there’s a calm, professional energy even during an influx. If you’re looking for a spot where you’re treated like a valued regular rather than just another customer, this is 100% it. Highly recommended!”
