“We have had a new kitchen installed by Wrights Interiors. From the first point of making contact with the company, they have been absolutely brilliant and so customer focused. Lisa came to our address and discussed what we wanted. We then went to their premises and chose styles, colours, handles and appliances. Both Lisa and Joe were very knowledgeable regarding the whole process. Joe provided us with a quote which was very reasonable. There was no pushy sales pitch and we were given the time to consider our options. We employed Wrights to fully rip out our existing kitchen and supply a full new one, including installing a new ceiling and plastering the walls. Joe kept in contact in the run up to the work starting, which was around one month from first making contact with Wrights. The fitting process from ripping out to finishing up took around a week. The staff doing the fitting and plastering (Phil, Glen and Danny, as well as the gas engineers) were absolutely brilliant and so accommodating. Nothing appears to be too much trouble for them, or the company. All of the old kitchen and any rubbish generated was disposed of promptly by Wrights and any issues were quickly ironed out. The whole process went very smoothly and they kept any inconvenience to an absolute minimum. The new kitchen looks brilliant. I would definitely recommend Wrights Interiors, Shaw to others and will definitely use their services again.”

“I’ve been coming to The Hare and Hounds in Middleton week after week, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. From the classic Sunday roast to the rotating chef’s specials, the food is consistently 10/10 — it’s far beyond what you’d expect from pub food and easily rivals high-end restaurants. Every dish is beautifully presented, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are almost unbelievable given the quality you get. Drinks are also great value, with top brands served at very reasonable prices. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help, no matter how busy it gets. They always do their best to accommodate everyone including dietary needs, and make you feel right at home. Whether you’re after a comforting roast, a special night out, or just a few drinks in a warm atmosphere, this place delivers every time. Highly recommended — easily one of the best pubs in the area!”

“We turned up as a party of 5, late notice on a Sunday evening after a long drive from the West Country. Despite the kitchen about to close, the lady who served us was extremely accommodating and we were soon served with absolutely lovely Sunday roast dinners; delicious food and plenty of it, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and a nice clean and friendly pub.”

“Lovely licenced cafe by the canal - stopped for a coffee/drink mid afternoon. Sat on the veranda overlooking the canal. Husband had cider, I had coffee and apple pie. Staff were friendly and helpful - very attentive too. Lovely place to sit out and watch the ducks go by. Blankets also provided, if required. This is very common in Europe, glad to see more places in UK are doing the same, especially since lockdown. The scones and cookies looked amazing, so we got some to take away.”

“Visited this place as the reviews on Google looked amazing. We arrived for brunch and we were greeted with a very friendly member of staff. The place was about 10% full, which was great for us! This place has a good selection of breakfast/brunch options, as well as many savoury, desserts, ice cream flavours and hot/cold drink options. I eat vegetarian, vegan and halal food. this place is 100% halal. We got the Berries, Pancake Stack, Turmeric Latte, Brioche French Toast and an Iced Latte. We did have to wait long for our order, however it was well worth it. The berries pancake stack that I had Was deliciously light and airy. I could tell it was made fresh. The menu did not mention the addition of chocolate sauce on the pancakes, however I wasn’t fussed about this. It was actually a nice addition to the dish. The turmeric latte was also tasty, and made me feel nice and warm. As turmeric does not properly mix properly with liquid, there was some turmeric left at the bottom of the mug, however I didn’t mind this. Overall, we had a very positive experience at this place and I highly recommend it to friends, couples and families!”

There is plenty of choice and it’s really good value. Service was efficient. The cafe itself has a lovely cozy atmosphere. A little gem in Oldham definitely worth a visit”

“Had a couple of beers here on a Friday evening. The guest beer was in great condition and the bar staff were really friendly. Plenty of parking next to the pub. Sports were being shown on multiple screens. Would recommend and visit again.”

“My wife and I came for lunch, having previously visited for drinks a few weeks ago. We are trying all the local eateries as we will shortly be moving here. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and it all seemed very well organised. The food was excellent and we both really enjoyed the Sunday Dinner menu which was available on bank holiday Monday. Decor is really nice and the pub has a welcoming feel. Nice to see dogs are welcomed in the bar and garden areas. Will most definately be returning”

“My mum and I visited the farm shop and cafe and had afternoon tea and it was absolutely gorgeous. They provided great veggie options and it was overall delicious. You could add on a glass of Prosecco or a larger for an additional cost also. The crockery was lovely and the staff were amazing, very attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend !”

“A spur of the moment decision on a Sunday late Sunday afternoon. A Walk in without a reservation late on Sunday afternoon, the pub was relatively busy and there was a small queue of people waiting to be seated. Whilst guest were being seated, the lady behind the bar could see that we were waiting. She stopped what she was doing, she greeted us with a cherry hello, and confirmed if we had a reservation which we haven’t. She said it was no bother had a table available And it will only take two ticks to wipe down and set up. We both went for the Sunday lunch one roast beef one roast lamb the meals came to the table within 20 minutes and I have to say one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in years we finished off With one cheesecake and two spoons. The staff here at the Horton were most definitely on their a game when we visited on Sunday. Polite professional and welcoming. We will most definitely be returning to the Horton Arms.”

“I purchased a bosch built in microwave oven yesterday which has now replaced my old bosch 10 Yr old one perfectly and matches the oven. I visited the Oldham store with my wife and spoke to a knowledgeable gentleman called Dan who gave us him time and answered any questions we had. He was very helpful and pleasant. Dan said John would phone me back to check stock in the warehouse the following morning which sure enough he did and he said my microwave oven was ready to collect. I went down to the store straight away to collect and another gentleman carried the microwave and put it into my car after I paid. The gentleman who carried it out also had a nice manor about him and the young lady who was in on Sunday with Dan also was pleasant and talkative. I would recommend this company to anyone and as I have been in retail sales all my working life this kind of service is sadly not available everywhere. I will definitely be back for more stuff soon This company is full of nice people. Thanks again. Eric Unsworth.”

“I came here today with my dog & it was like stepping back in time to my grandmas kitchen on a Saturday morning in the nicest way . The staff was so welcoming and warm especially with me having the dog . The atmosphere was just so wholesome it really felt like I was just in my grans kitchen . The decor is very very clean & the food was absolutely the best breakfast I’ve had . But hers sausage and bacon perfect orange yoky eggs with load of yoke , thick cut toast . Everything about it was beautiful so it looks like il be driving 40 mins for a breakfast every week . I also went alone with the dog which I’ve never ate alone before and not once did I felt uncomfortable.”
