“Gokulam Groceries has truly become my go-to spot for authentic Indian, Sri Lankan, and Malaysian products! Their selection is impressive, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences, and they stock many items that are otherwise hard to find in the area. From spices and masalas to specialty rice and fresh vegetables, they carry everything you need for an authentic cooking experience at home. The store is well-organized, making it easy to locate items, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to help with any queries or recommend products. I was especially pleased with their frozen section, which includes a variety of parathas, dosas, and even desserts—perfect for quick and delicious meals. Pricing is reasonable, and they often have promotions, which is a nice bonus. Whether you're cooking up a Sri Lankan curry, Indian biryani, or Malaysian laksa, Gokulam Groceries has everything to bring out the authentic flavors. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the cuisine of these regions or find specialty items with ease!!!!!!”

“Very good service from the waiters. The food is pretty good. The fried chicken has a lovely coating and is very crispy with very juicy meat underneath. The coconut rice is fragrant with coconut but also it is not sticky. A very interesting texture I don't usually have. The sambal taste amazing. Lovely flavours of the anchovies. The chicken satay was the best I had so far compared to the supermarket stuff. Proper char and the peanut sauce taste great. I'm really happy that the sambal was not spicy not because I can't tolerate spice but it's because I can taste the flavours. Not a criticism but the price is very high. So if you got the money, go for it.”

“I used to live in Manchester and somehow never tried this place before! We were visiting for work and decided to stop by Tampopo for lunch – and yes, it was the right choice. The food was banging, full of flavour, and fairly priced. The ramen was especially great, and the kids’ menu was a hit – massively approved by the little ones, which is always key! Great service too. Will definitely be back next time we’re in town.”

“The Malaysian restaurant to go in Manchester region. Great variety of Malaysian food available with good portion. Starters wise the satay, rojak and roti canai with curry is pretty good although the price for the satay is a little on the higher side. Mee Goreng and Nasi Lemak both are pretty good main options. Good variety of Malaysian drinks available as well. If looking for Malaysian restaurant in Manchester this would be their one to go. Limited parking outside. Sometimes can get a little busy during weekends so might need to book prior but otherwise seats are usually available. Waiting time varies with crowd.”

I went with the Beef In Bean, with a portion of salt and pepper chips. Was very fresh and the beef was so soft and cooked perfect. Tasted amazing. I can now say I’ve found my new local take out. :) Would recommend to anyone. reasonably priced too :)”
