“Finally got a chance to write this review I booked my two little boys for hairdo style (a bit of gel) for my two young boys at Studio 8 barbers on the day of a family wedding. We turned up, and they said we had no appointment and had booked the wrong date (I did not, I mentioned the date twice at time of booking). I was freaking out as the wedding was in 1 hour. The barbers did not offer any advice/help, very cold towards us, and we walked out in a panic. Frantically, ran to The HIVE Barbers and we were welcomed with open arms. Did not have an appointment but kindly offered to help and calmed us down straight away. Styled both boys hair with a little gel, all done in less than 5 mins and didn't even charge a penny. Boys looked really smart, and style lasted all day. So so grateful for a kind-hearted, caring local business who actually care for local residents and went out his way, knowing the circumstances around the importance of the day. Did not profit a penny, yet gained a lot of respect and have spread of this kind, wonderful business. This happened summer 2024, sorry for late review.”

Mandy is so precise with the way she cuts and styles dogs, I haven't seen anything like it before (not to mention how beautiful our girl smells after she's been pampered!). From first meeting Mandy there was just such a positive vibe and you can tell just how much care and love she has for the dogs she grooms. “Paul has been my go-to make-up artist for some time now. It's a relaxed, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere and the results are always excellent and surprisingly durable. This particular visit was a whole new experience for me - for the first time, under close supervision, I was myself actually wielding the weapons of feminisation and learning some of the (frankly mind-bogglingly complex) mystical art of make-up. As a scientist by training, it felt like a combination of chemistry, biology, fluid mechanics, and all wrapped up in a (to me unfamiliar) world of art and colour and design. An extremely enjoyable first experience of this, and I'm already booked in for another session at which, hopefully, I'll be less timid & more confident. I highly recommend Paul, especially for those who want to try this but feel shy or nervous.”
