“My absolute go to Chinese in the area. The portions are very well sized for the money and most dishes come with the rice or chips included. The food is always very hot and well presented. The fire chow mein and seaweed is our favourite! Definitely recommend as the best Chinese in the area, and we love supporting local.”

“I am so glad this store opened in Media City. It was badly needed. I come in here nearly every day for groceries. I’m never disappointed. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially if I get stuck with the self service tills. There is a wide range of goods available, certainly enough to keep you going if you live in Media City. I would recommend getting the Co-Op App and becoming a member. It only costs £1 and you get lots of savings on your shopping. All you need to do is scan your bar code when you pay and you’ll see the savings. The store is situated near several apartment buildings and there is a car park and two hotels next to it. There are also many bars and restaurants nearby too so it’s a handy stop after an evening out. There are often price reductions in the evenings too if you’re looking for a bargain. She made us feel so welcome and helped make our celebration so special. I especially appreciated the clean and inviting atmosphere, and the service was spot on. If they could add a few African dishes, like jollof rice, and improve the signage for the different menu areas, that would make it even better. “To me, it is one of the best branches of Nero’s in the country. All the baristas here are decent and make tasty coffee and also very friendly. The menu was taken on 13 Apr 2024. Quiet, nice and cozy ambience. There are also four or five tables outside at the front and a couple more tables at the back. There are a few pay-at-machine parking spaces just outside the cafe and also two or three (non-free) parking lots around. (Browncross Street Car park is an expensive place and you might want to use Si P Spaw Street Arches Car park which is much cheaper. However, it is not so obvious where the boundary lies between the two car parks so watch out for it as there seem to be many people who got fined for wrong parking there.)”

“I love Heron Foods. I wouldn't use it instead of a normal supermarket but have some really nice stuff. I especially go when they have the baby food in as its alot cheaper than the supermarkets. For example the Heinz 1+ foods are 2 for £1 where it's £2 just for one in supermarkets I've also bought baby porridge of 39p each or 69p each and then the tubs of porridge which are normally £3 in supermarkets are £1 so saves me a heck of alot of money. They don't have baby food in all time though its one of those once its gone its gone and then they will bring stuff back in a month or so.”

“Huge selection of items at great prices. Self checkouts are actually made for larger shops, which is great when you want to spend the time packing your bags. Only found this place by chance when taking a walk down the river park. A much more enjoyable shopping experience than my usual (Aldi, Arndale)”

“Best food I had in MY LIFE - I don't understand the ooga booga about the service because my friends and I had a pleasant lunch there. Shoutout to the lady who served us (I believe her name is Brita), she was extremely welcoming and provided excellent suggestions for our first meal. We had the Baked Portuguese Chicken with Rice, Baked Pork Chop with Rice in Tomato Sauce, Fried Vermicelli with Satay Beef and the iconic French Toast. All 3 proteins were cooked to perfection. I was extremely fortunate to have an ultimate dining experience and finally understanding the expression of ‘food melting in my mouth’. At one point, we took a pause from eating as we felt that we were unworthy of savouring such delicacies. We will return for more. Considering its location, it is definitely a hidden gem in Manchester, if not the United Kingdom!”

Large screen showing the news channel so you can catch up on what's going on around the world while eating. Or you can view the River Orwell on one side & watch the cruise boats passing by.”

“Fantastic lunch here. The food was to die for and the freshly squeezed orange juice was gorgeous. The mozzarella focaccia was so flavourful and the strawberry and vanilla sundae was absolutely next level. Our server, Esin was so lovely and attentive and even surprised me with a piece of passion fruit cheesecake (which tasted incredible) as I’m halfway through my pregnancy and was out shopping with my mum. Will definitely be returning!”
