“I’ve been coming to The Hare and Hounds in Middleton week after week, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. From the classic Sunday roast to the rotating chef’s specials, the food is consistently 10/10 — it’s far beyond what you’d expect from pub food and easily rivals high-end restaurants. Every dish is beautifully presented, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are almost unbelievable given the quality you get. Drinks are also great value, with top brands served at very reasonable prices. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help, no matter how busy it gets. They always do their best to accommodate everyone including dietary needs, and make you feel right at home. Whether you’re after a comforting roast, a special night out, or just a few drinks in a warm atmosphere, this place delivers every time. Highly recommended — easily one of the best pubs in the area!”

“Went in at tea time on a Wednesday and had a delicious rag pudding. The pudding, chips, peas and gravy were all amazing, I would highly recommend. Staff were also lovely and helpful. Pub looks amazing too and was very busy for the day and time. Staff have done really well to get the pub to where it is. Get in there and get some food in you.”

There is access for disabled visitors, prams and buggies. The staff here are very helpful and polite. There are meals for one and for families too. “Nice cafe with usual Tesco menu. Food excellently cooked and presented, and even the beans were hot (which in my experience of most cafes is unusual). Cheerful and efficient staff and good atmosphere. What was really good was that you ordered at the counter rather at the impersonal machines which is becoming the norm (and is the reason we tend to avoid several other Tesco Cafes).”
