“Went for midweek lunch with a friend , we both had the 2 course menu deal and drinks . Very quiet with few customers while we were there, nice friendly staff . “THIS is the pub to go to if ever you have the chance. And if you've been before, but not since late 2023 - ga again. New, young owners have revitalised the Tavern whilst keeping all the old, well lived traditional features. The food is fantastic, dogs are very welcome. There is even home-made doggy ice-cream, dog snacks and hand-made dog leads for sale. There's a small tuck shop and board games for kids. Lovely walks all around. WINNER OF PUB OF THE YEAR 2025.”

“Taxi Drivers around Manchester have been telling me about this place for so long with rave reviews and I didn’t take their advice until this weekend and I’m on my 5th consecutive day ordering. The Kobedi’s (kebab) are absolutely unreal (Sahara Grill Rochdale restaurant level) so this is my go to order, however I’ve sampled the Chicken and Lamb kebabs too and they’re unreal. All the meat is quality and cooked to perfection in the clay ovens. When I say this is the best takeaway I’ve ever had (to the point of me deleting my JustEat and Domino’s app) you better believe it. Unreal.”
