“What an absolute gem of a place, huge place filled with all sorts of wonderful bits and pieces. Two floors of excellent quality good sturdy furniture. If you find a piece but its not quite the right colour have a chat with them and they see what they can do to lighten/darken it to suit you. Excellent find lovely place. even lovelier people that run the place (so sorry My memory is shocking when it comes to names) nothing it to much for them. Thanks to Sofia taking the time to prepare lots of useful resources such as past papers, my daughter was able to practice her exam technique. “We booked The Mews and The South Cottage for 5 nights for our wedding. The cottages were spotless, the interiors were beautiful and the views and ground of the cottages were stunning. It felt like homely luxury! The layout worked really well in terms of the number of bathrooms etc. It was the perfect place to get family and bridesmaids together before the wedding and such a beautiful place to get ready on the wedding morning itself. Would definitely recommend.”

“My partner booked Ela for a surprise date night! It was ‘nice’ .. I asked for olives while ordering my drink and was told no? Thought this was odd! But Nevermind! Order was olives, Saganaki (just tasted like very burned cheese) a trio of dips with hummus, a cheese pastry thing (can’t remember the name) mixed grill, Kleftiko - Wasn’t the best? Watery and flavourless (I had had it elsewhere and thought the same so maybe it just isn’t for me?) not sure I would recommend or go back! But I do know other people who really like it!”

“Amazing food, great service and unusual idea, all you can eat steak with the system of controlling when you wish to be served again by flipping the card from green to red. We visited last night for the first time and left really full and impressed. This is definitely not our last visit,the next time will probably come for bottomless service so drinks could flow as well. It's not cheap but it is worth the money. Everyone from the staff was very friendly and welcoming, the whole experience was just unforgettable including the deco and music. Thank you for having us and making our anniversary so special. “I've been going here regularly for a couple of years. I always leave sharp and happy. Staff are friendly, chatty when I'm chatty, less chatty when I want a cut without conversation . I usually get cut by Craig or Jo, but since Jamie transformed my 10yo from a shaggy mop top to sharp and cool I'll definitely be utilising his skills for myself too. Slightly cramped waiting space and occasionally I'm waiting by the door or even outside, but always worth it. Reasonable prices.”

This shop is a gem, it has the loveliest shopkeepers who are so passionate about their vintage wares :-) This is a must visit whenever I’m in Stockport, there’s always something new and the shop goes on forever! You’ll find things you didn’t know you needed but can’t leave without. Pictured is a gorgeous Picture Post magazine I bought! They have a great little collection of these in the centre floors of the shop along with lots of vintage literature, postcards and trinkets!”
