“I’ve been coming to The Hare and Hounds in Middleton week after week, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. From the classic Sunday roast to the rotating chef’s specials, the food is consistently 10/10 — it’s far beyond what you’d expect from pub food and easily rivals high-end restaurants. Every dish is beautifully presented, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are almost unbelievable given the quality you get. Drinks are also great value, with top brands served at very reasonable prices. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help, no matter how busy it gets. They always do their best to accommodate everyone including dietary needs, and make you feel right at home. Whether you’re after a comforting roast, a special night out, or just a few drinks in a warm atmosphere, this place delivers every time. Highly recommended — easily one of the best pubs in the area!”

“We turned up as a party of 5, late notice on a Sunday evening after a long drive from the West Country. Despite the kitchen about to close, the lady who served us was extremely accommodating and we were soon served with absolutely lovely Sunday roast dinners; delicious food and plenty of it, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and a nice clean and friendly pub.”

“Had my hair done by sam. I had an absolutely lovely time and was pampered to high heavens. She took her time with me during my consultation to make sure she knew what I wanted and didn't want and kept me in the loop during every process. My hair came out incredibly stunning. I even brought my 6 months old son to my appointment and was so understanding when I had to tend to him. She had plenty cuddles aswell. I also came in the following day for my first ever spray tan with macy and was nervous as didn't know what to expect. She talked me through the process and I instantly felt at ease and comfortable. Never felt so glowy. 100% recommend”

“Very impressed with the hair cut. We’ve been to many barbers and Habibs barbers have managed to cut the hair perfectly. Other barbers said hair is odd/ hard to cut but no excuses from Habibs. Price is very good too so Thank you!”

My little boy swam a length aged 3 and this is down to the amazing teachers, facilities and lesson structures. Above all, Dolphin promote water safety and encourage your child to learn life saving skills from the baby stage. Couldn’t recommend Dolphin enough. Amazing.”

“Perfect local pub. Family friendly, great atmosphere, warm welcome and so, so friendly. Great range of beers and spirits and an unrivalled juke box. Large room for functions with djaying facilities and in the summer there are plenty of tables outside with beautiful views over the green and beyond, all the way to Winter Hill in Horwich. Thank you for making us feel at home. Lots of laughs and a great day/night. Stayed far too long! Will definitely return again and again and again! :-)”

“Had a couple of beers here on a Friday evening. The guest beer was in great condition and the bar staff were really friendly. Plenty of parking next to the pub. Sports were being shown on multiple screens. Would recommend and visit again.”

The quality of service is second to none, and you'll never be disappointed with the friendly chat and advice that comes with it. “Got a referral from my Optician, the speed of the referral, post opp and surgery were within one week! Surgery was pain free totally, All the staff from the meet and greet to the cleaner are all polite, helpful and professional. I can not fault anything about the visits here. “My wife and I came for lunch, having previously visited for drinks a few weeks ago. We are trying all the local eateries as we will shortly be moving here. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and it all seemed very well organised. The food was excellent and we both really enjoyed the Sunday Dinner menu which was available on bank holiday Monday. Decor is really nice and the pub has a welcoming feel. Nice to see dogs are welcomed in the bar and garden areas. Will most definately be returning”

“I went with my mum a few weeks ago and it was our first time going since it changed from Kitty's. While I noticed some things were different the important stuff was the same. The food was great, the service was lovely, and in typical fashion we were so full we needed to take the rest home! The cakes are, as always, incredible and you can tell a lot of effort went into them!”
