“We love the cafe, as does our 2 year old who's been asking to go all week! We took her in today and were met with the usual very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Food is always great, as is the coffee. At the end of our lovely visit our little one was given the chance to open the advent calendar and got a fantastic present. “We, my colleague and I luckily came over this fine establishment whilst collecting a vehicle from a customer. We thoroughly enjoyed the facilities, the service from the two assistants was very pleasurable, the coffee was superb and especially the Rocky Road cake which was beautiful. “We discovered The Workhouse about 12 months ago when searching for dog friendly places to have a bite in and around Northampton (properly dog friendly - somewhere that doesn’t chuck you in a different area or allow them on the furniture) and this place is a gem. It’s always packed which is testament to the amazing food, staff and atmosphere. The staff are always accommodating, happy and friendly which massively contributes to the lovely atmosphere’s here. You can tell they are an excellent team and work well together. The food is insanely good, it’s on another level! Their menu is small but they do everything to perfection. The cake counter is always full of amazing treats making it hard to choose what to take home. This place deserves more than 5 stars! Tip: Get there for opening time!”

Pros : -well priced -superb coffee -delicious food -great location -lovely staff (very friendly) Cons : -can't think of any other than quality of life improvements (greedy wishes) that might be outside of their authority to implement i.e. indoor charging sockets, outside outdoor seating and thats it really it. A very pleasant first visit, will be returning as the coffee and food easily rival mainstream coffee spots”
