Staff were very helpful and friendly. Was due to stay 3 night but left early as the bed/mattress were without doubt the most uncomfortable I have ever come across, The frame was exactly like Army surplus and mattress from 1975 Spanish hotels. (I was offered another bed for night 3 but decided not to chance a 3rd bad sleep) There was not even a chair to sit in so sitting on the sponge bed was only source of seating. Personally I found £65 to sleep on a bed of torture was too much. Its a converted barn I think and when people walked around upstairs it sounded like they would come through the ceiling at any point. I did not find it a restful place at all. Room was clean and had everything needed., location is very good.

Great pub in Sherburn-in-Elmet, bars are good especially the Guiness. Friendly great for Steak Night (Thursdays) or Sunday Roast.

It's a lovely place to stay. Made to feel welcome, clean rooms and well maintained. There is a lovely beer garden and dogs are welcomed. This place has helped me feel real again. Thank you.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a business trip. The location is way outside the city with mostly small farm road connections, making it harder for driving. The rooms and building are old style and rooms are pretty average. It's not an active hotel, but it's not too bad.

We have started going here for the Tuesday night quiz and we love it. Landlady does a great job.

No frills, clean, comfortable and welcoming. TV randomly turned itself on twice in the night. Window wouldn’t shut fully. Shower flow poor and thermostat stuck on red hot. Option for breakfast would’ve been good. We had friends who would also have stayed if breakfast was offered. But for the money and overall experience we would stay again. Issues mentioned could be easily fixed.

Stayed overnight on Saturday 5th March, with a bunch of old Forces mates. The staff were quite simply amazing, just lovely lovely people who couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms were comfortable and warm, plenty of brew making things and a tele. What more do you need. We went to the cafe over the road for b’fast. Had a curry night before at Safron night before which was excellent as well. All in all, great place, great beer, superb staff and I will certainly book and stay again.

Booked a table for Sunday lunch for 4. Warm welcome when we entered the pub. Fixed Sunday lunch menu either 2 or 3 courses that are really well priced. Food was excellent, in particular I had theSteak and ale pie which is home made. Meals came in good time and no pressure from anyone to vacate table when we had finished our meal. Will definitely go again and try another night of the week.
