   Caroline and David gave us a very warm welcome. They dried our wet boots in front of their aga, and gave us tea and cake. Our bedroom and the other areas of the B&B were comfortable and nicely decorated, and the set-up was very covid-safe. The breakfast was excellent; really tasty and plenty of options. We thought the stay was very good value for money. We definitely recommend this B&B!

   Our 2nd time of staying at Townhead Farmhouse. Very pleased with the service of this family run business. They are very accommodating and couldn't really ask for any more. Rooms are decent and fit for purpose. Very welcoming of four legged guests too.

   We had a fantastic experience at Townhead. I spent NYE here with three of my gal pals and would highly recommend both Townhead B&B and Bonsall. Our hosts Dave and Caroline were lovely, they both picked us up and dropped us off at the train station and cooked us some very tasty breakfasts (including homemade bread!); the vegetarian in our group loved that they had great veggie options too. The rooms were really lovely, plus we essentially had our own wing of the house with our own little kitchen and living area too. Caroline also gave us some excellent walking suggestions including maps and directions, plus some great pub recommendations too. We spent time in Matlock, Matlock Bath, Cromford and Bonsall and thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

   We had a wonderful stay at Townhead farmhouse. When we arrived we were welcomed into Caroline and David's home, which was cosy and warm from the heat of the arga, there was a log fire burning in the breakfast room and smell of freshly baked bread. The facilities all seemingly new and clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was perfect, especially the eggs! I couldn't recommend it enough and am looking forward to going back. Thank you for having us!

   We have stayed several times at this B&B and enjoy the ambience of the village & the farmhouse. Dave & Caroline are very friendly & helpful with suggestions for local activities; they are very good hosts. The rooms are fresh & clean with all the facilities you need. The breakfasts are delicious and plentiful. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in the area!
