   We came here Saturday 6th December for their Christmas menu. I had the scotch egg starter, it was amazing. The main course of turkey dinner was delicious a very good selection of food and the Christmas pudding was very yummy. We all left absolutely stuffed. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The service was very good. I would highly recommend Lathkill Hotel and we will definitely be visiting again.

   Peaceful and friendly hotel! We stayed over a weekend in July, and really enjoyed the country location, walking paths, and the cozy pub onsite. Nice breakfasts and pub burgers too - very satisfying. Clean and comfortable, professional service, would definitely stay here again and recommend it to those who like staying in the countryside.

   Great location. Food excellent. Bedroom very clean, floorboards a bit creaky but this is an older building so to be expected. The bar/restaurant appeared well supported by the locals. Can recommend the quiz night - we teamed up with a local couple and came second!

   Called for a late Sunday lunch with no prior booking but we were genuinely impressed with the warmth of the welcome, the attentive service and the breadth of choice on the published menus and specials board. For what appears to be a 'country pub' there is a surprising range of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. In addition, many dishes can be ordered as small or standard plates, both representing good value. The views from both bar (dog friendly) and dining room (no dogs) are simply stunning, reaching across Lathkill Dale to the hills beyond. We had a lovely relaxed meal and nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff. We shall definitely return. Accommodation is also available, apparently. Very tempting!!

   We arrived here after a long walk in the heat. The lady behind the bar was friendly, accommodating and made us feel very welcome. The views were beautiful and shandy refreshing. We were so impressed we collected our car and returned for lunch and were not disappointed. Food was fresh, hot and delicious. Thank you so much. We will definitely return when we are next in the area and have already told others all about you. An exhausted Emma and Naomi xx

   Walked up from Alport and enjoyed a couple of pints and lunch here. Good selection of beers, and a good menu. Walker and dog friendly with a boot rack at the door or boot covers.

   My brother and I had a lovely lunch here today. The bar area is cosy and the staff welcoming and friendly. We both had lamb, mint and orange pie, followed by treacle tart and cream. Portion sizes are spot on and all the food was really tasty. I'll definitely be recommending The Lathkil to friends and family.

   Been coming here for years, the view is one of the best for a pub in the Bakewell area. They used to serve a buffet lunch which was so very 70's but a great idea. We were here on a nice sunny summers day and two Chinook helicopters flew past waving as they went. Dog friendly and full of character. The bar is cozy with a nice fire roaring (in the Autumn, winter) as it was today. Lady behind the bar was very nice and we had a couple of alcohol free beers then left. Good selection of beers and the food menu looked great. Glad the place is still going after all these years and long may it continue. Well worth a visit.

   Really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Very quiet in a remote area ideal for walking. The view from our room was a treat to wake up to. Room we had wasn't the biggest we've ever stayed in but it was clean and had all that we needed. Apart from breakfast, which was nice, we didn't eat or drink at the hotel so can't comment on that really.
