The staff was in general not caring, passively aggressive in some moments. Check in took long and the guy didn’t even give us any info or instructions where to find our room. The beddings were clean thankfully, but the rest of the space looked and smelled more like somewhere in club. Cleaning toilets and disinfection of showers would improve the whole experience for sure. We appreciated breakfast and tasty coffee. The management was a bit confusing, once employee asked us about our room number and the other day didn’t even care. There are welcome free drinks, but very restricted and it wasn’t even clear for which drinks it’s valid, after a long discussion with the staff we finally got our small beer. For the price and location it’s very convenient accommodation but we do believe, that clean and not smelly toilets and showers are must plus some pro client behaviour from the employees side as well. We would recommend this hostel only in short stay cases and budget friendly trips.

I stayed here for 1 night back in June of this year. I chose it because it seemed like a good option for getting to/from to the O2 Arena without having to go too close to the city, and also because it suited my super low budget. Pros: It's quite literally right beside the train station (but far enough away that noise isn't an issue!). It's also on a regular bus route that will take you directly to and from the O2 Arena. The bar below the hostel has lovely food, a pretty decent selection of drinks, good music playing, and very friendly and helpful staff! Cons: My main complaint is that the shower rooms were very dirty. When I first checked in on the afternoon that I arrived, I had a look in the shared shower room and they very clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while. There was litter and left over clothes and towels laying around, and all the floors looked quite dirty. I showered very early the next morning and it was still just as dirty as the previous afternoon. Also, not so much a "Con", but just a heads up... the floors and doors in the actual hostel/sleeping areas are quite old and squeaky (much more than the pictures would suggest), so earplugs are most definitely a necessity if you're a light sleeper. Also, the air conditioning in the room consisted of a single small fan on the wall... which wasn't ideal in a full dorm as this summer was particularly hot all over Europe. Overall, an OK hostel for the price, and perfectly fine for 1 night on a budget... but dirty/neglected shower rooms are never a good sign.

The pub itself is great, the rooms and beds are passable, but the bathrooms were poorly maintained, constantly out of toilet paper, and sometimes out of soap, some toilet seats were broken. Common area or "chill area" has a non working fridge and non working microwave, only the kettle works, and the sink area look messy every time, the toilet there looked very disgusting. I know part of it is due to some uncivilised guests, but the fact that there's no maintenance and upkeeping makes it bad for everyone else. Also my experience there was made worse by one of the staff members, this young blonde girl with glasses name Chris, if I'm not mistaken, at least twice. Very unfriendly and unengaging attitude, like she couldn't be bothered and didn't want to be there. When I made my booking, I booked two days in one bed, and then the rest of the days in a different bed, but in the same room, and I was still told that I couldn't leave my stuff in there, even though I was only changing beds, and that I could pay to use their lockers, if I wanted somewhere to leave my stuff, so I had to wait until check-in time to put my stuff back in the room. When I checked back in, even the different staff member that checked me in was surprised that I had to get a new card to get back in the same room where I was already. Completely useless and impractical, and it seem that she wanted to make it as inconvenient as possible. When I checked out, I've noticed that I had forgotten my towel inside the room, next to my bed, so i went back to the hostel, and she was there. I've asked if it was possible for her to come with me and let me quickly check if it was still there, something that would take only a minute, and she said I wasn't allowed to go back, and that she would contact housekeeping, and had to wait for their reply, but already dismissing me saying that house keeping probably threw it away already. I've waited roughly 10 minutes, asked her if she gotten any reply, and she just said that they found nothing, and to me it just seem that she only said that just so I would finally go away. Because I had a train to catch, I left it there. I know it was just a towell, and was a minor inconvenience, but the lack of will to be helpful, and to do the bare minimum was astonishing. I'm surprised that if someone forgets something in the room, the procedure is to immediately throw it away, rather than keep it in a lost and found. Unless of course, they dont really do that, and they have a lost and found, and she was simply just lying, because she couldn't be bothered. And it wasn't even busy, this was before check in time, so she had plenty of free time, specially because she was just chatting with her colleagues on the bar. To be fair, the little interaction I've had with other staff, was more positive, and they at least seem more helpful and friendly. But the negative experience with this staff member plus the poor conditions I've already mentioned, made this much of a negative experience to recommend it or to book again. There are better options out there.

Stayed here for one night for a concert at the O2, really good location and has 24/7 doors so no worries about getting back. The lady who checked us in was really welcoming and helpful. No noise from outside despite it being the night before Halloween. Not quite a spot I'd do more than one night in though - cheap and cheerful. To echo other reviews - bathrooms were worse than a beach toilet, smelly and unclean. But I did see a cleaner come in when I was about to check out this is more a reflection on how other guests leave the place. We booked a private bunk bed room - my bunk bed was squeaky with every movement and a thin mattress where I could feel the metal underneath. Something to note as it will disrupt both your sleep. Coffee/tea station was empty. A query was also answered 5 days after the fact through message and after my stay had completed. And as we checked out the staff member was talking over us to a colleague saying how sick he is and will be leaving soon - I hope he feels better.. but not quite what you want to hear over a card transaction first thing in the morning. But if you can overlook all this then location/price wise it is fine.

I usually stay in YHA hostels, but due to a lack of availability when I visited London in June 2025, I had to find an alternative place to stay. After some research, I found St Christopher's Inn Greenwich due to its extremely low cost. As this was the first time I'd use this place, I was a little bit skeptical at first. However, when I arrived, I was highly impressed with everything from start to finish. As the weather was extremely warm when I visited, they put the effort into putting fans into the room I was in, which although was loud, was understandable given the conditions. Despite this, I still had a great night's sleep. I also found the price to be extremely good value for the room and free drink that I got, given the location of the hostel. However, the one thing I was a little unsure of were the rooms. I was given a bottom bunk, so I was essentially on the floor when I was sleeping, which I was a bit unsure about. Another thing were the lockers for each of the bed, which although is a good idea given the layout of the room, I was a little bit paranoid about due to the security of it. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience that I had here. I'd certainly stay here again as well as recommend it to other people.

Deplorable service from bar staff/ acting manager (Not the sound guy with dreadlocks) whom it feels as though discriminates against hostel using customers. I was walked past numerous times in plain sight of this individual, hoping eye contact or simply peripheral vision was enough to garner some attention, only for a non-hostel user to be attended to immediately after approaching the bar. Pretty disgusted….

my friends and i stayed at this hostel for 5 nights, upon arrival we noticed a really bad smell that permeated throughout the hostel and the rooms. you could tell the beds/rooms must of been moldy, we all got very sick. the moment we would leave the hostel we would instantly start feeling better. it was noisy from the bar downstairs and overall was not a good stay. would not recommend unless you are desperate and need to stay for a day or two max.

This place was great because of it's AMAZING location. I was traveling for a show at the O2 and getting there with public transport was very easy and quick. Being right next to Greenwich station allowed for very easy travel everywhere and with the Greenwich market and Royal Observatory at a short walking distance I would very much recommend it. The hostel guests also got good deals at the restaurant & bar right downstairs and they had lockers where you can store your stuff while you're out +++. The staff were friendly and as attentive as possible. However the place was not clean for a person who appreciates cleanliness very much, I felt very uncomfortable at all times. Luckily I had planned so much activities for myself that I basically just used the hostel as a resting/storage/charging place.

The hostel part wasn't to bad. My room didn't have that much of a sound problem. 3 beds high is alittle much. Showers were good, bathrooms were cleaned every day. The bar part got me food positioning didn't go back there except for the free breakfast which was bread and cereal and a not so good coffee maker. Other then that it was a good stay.

Literally had to post this while currently staying here because it’s that bad. I’ve stayed at other St. Christopher hostels in Europe, none were this loud, dirty, and unaccommodating. I got into my “clean” bed and there was long black hair on the sheets. Must be zero insulation as you can hear the music in your room as if you were downstairs in the bar. The staff aren’t terrible but one of the male staff shouldn’t be working in hospitality. When checking in, he was rude, gave minimal direction to the storage lockers. I had asked him later how to use the laundry facilities, as it’s advertised they have laundry facilities on their FAQ page, he again was short and rude saying it’s only for staff - and rather than provide me with recommendations for self-laundry facilities or offer to help me find something, he literally just let me walk away. EDIT: I also came back to my towel missing, as the cleaning person took it. Apparently they were all out of towels and didn’t have another one to provide me, on two separate occasions. Long story short, don’t stay here, you’ll get a better night sleep and more hospitable staff somewhere else!
