   Not long back for The Baiting House, and honestly… wow. We stayed in the lodge with the hot tub, and it was absolutely spotless and beautifully set up—such a relaxing spot to unwind. Dinner in the restaurant was next-level. The vibes, the atmosphere, everything just clicked. The service? Supreme. The maitre d’ running the floor was incredible—we’d happily come back just to be looked after by him again. Now, the food. The mains? Absolutely sensational. Every bite was full of flavour and cooked perfectly. I do have to say, the desserts didn’t quite match up to the brilliance of the mains—they were a little underwhelming in comparison—but that’s a tiny blip in an otherwise flawless experience. Honestly, I can’t fault a thing. From accommodation to dining to service, it’s all top-tier. Definitely a 10/10 from me, and I’d recommend it to anyone without hesitation. Already planning our next visit!

   Took my husband here for his birthday. We were welcomed by friendly staff at the bar who checked us in, we arrived at 3pm and planned to have a drink at the bar before check in at 4pm, but they let us check in and go to our lodge early. We stayed at the Ryeland Lodge and it was very clean, with a comfortable bed and its own Wifi. The hot tub was amazing and set behind some trees so was very private. We booked a meal at the restaurant and the food was outstanding! A very quiet and peaceful place to unwind and relax, would recommend and visit again.

   We had a wonderful stay in a beautifully decorated, modern cottage set in peaceful surroundings. The views were breathtaking and the atmosphere so calming. Dinner was a real highlight — the filet steak was cooked to perfection, delicious whipped Marmite butter on sourdough (must try)Truly exceptional! The staff were warm, professional, and made us feel genuinely welcome. The cleanliness of the entire property was impeccable. Highly recommend for anyone seeking comfort, great food, and a serene escape.

   If your looking for a weekend away the baiting house is the place to go! The food here is something special & it’s recently been put in the Michelin guide! The lodges were super clean and the hot tub was a great way to spend the evening with a glass of wine in hand. Everything was perfect and I can’t wait to go back again soon!

   Went here for a lunch as it had been a while. We were so impressed with the whole experience. We got a really warm welcome from Alan and his great colleagues and then the food was outstanding. Really good to see the standards have been maintained. All elements of every dish were so well balanced. So many great flavours and the attention to detail is just incredible. All that combined with a perfect conditioned Wye Valley HPA and a very well sourced wine list just makes for one hell of a pub. These guys are and quite rightly so very proud of what they do. Hats off to you all.

   Me and my partner have just stayed here and can honestly say it’s the best hotel we’ve stayed in!! Super clean, bed was comfy, sofas was comfy. Brilliant you can bring ur own food and it feels just home. The pub/ restaurant was lovely, the staff was incredible and was right there if needed! Will definitely be booking again :) I’m really happy. Brilliant time to go away for a romantic weekend away, the lodges are just so beautiful and relaxing.

   Well what words would best describe this place? Magnificent, welcoming, spotless, great friendly service, exceptional food , amazing clean modern rooms? I would have to say all of them. I travel a lot and stay in many hotels, b&b's and commercial motels and I have to say this place was probably be the best. It's so nice to see that the AA , have for once in my opinion got it right. And to be honest I would go as far to say this place is 5 ⭐. The reception was friendly and helpful, the room was extremely clean and modern. The bathroom was literally gleaming. The room even had a small fridge in it. And food was the best I've had for a long time. And very reasonable price too I will definitely return.

   Just left from a very relaxing one night stay. The staff are extremely friendly both over the phone and in person, very welcoming and helpful. The lodge was beautiful, clean and tidy, very well equipped. A nice touch having the wonderful hot tub warmed and ready for use, and the lodge warm for our arrival in this chilly weather. Comfortable bed, great nights sleep. Peaceful and private. Highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a peaceful getaway with a warm and friendly atmosphere!!!
