Had a trip to Edinburgh for a week and only came here as we walked by and seen an advertisement for take away haggis, never had haggis before so thought we would try it and so glad we did!!! The haggis was delicious and even my children enjoyed it, even had a cheeky drink. We enjoyed it that much that we returned the next day for dinner, the food, portion size, atmosphere and price was amazing!!! The starters and sides would have been good enough as a main meal the portion size was that good. Had mussels that were delicious. Staff were amazing and so accommodating with us being there with 4 children (one being a 4 month old) Will 100% be returning next time we come to Edinburgh

We came here on the 18th November for my Daughter's 18th Birthday and glad we did. Alejandro and the other staff were very attentive, we got a lovely window seat which felt cosy and atmospheric as it was dark and rainy outside. The dΓ©cor inside and out was very Christmasy with a nice lit candle on the table and the lighting was just right. The goats cheese starter was one of the best I've had, was on par with a delicious goats cheese starter I had from Cafe St Honore a while ago. We all had 3 course with some wine and a cocktail. The staff were just wonderful and gave my Daughter a surprise at the end; she told me she had a lovely time which made my day. Will definitely be returning. Thank you so much for a lovely experience on my Daughter's 18th.

Not been to Maison Bleue for a while so wanted to visit and see what we were missing. Not missing a lot to be honest so unfortunately wouldnβt rush back. We did receive a nice welcome from the waitress and great service throughout our meal but unfortunately the food was mediocre and the atmosphere a bit tense. We started with 1 Goats Cheese tart which was served cold despite being on a piece of toasted brioche & 1 Onion soup which was nice but look warm. For mains we had 1 Beef Bourguignon & 1 Steak Frites. Beef was good but Steak very chewy & overcooked. This was all washed down with a nice bottle of wine so along with 12% service came to the best part of Β£80. This restaurant is in a great spot and is nice inside so should be full of tourists & locals , if the food was consistently good this may happen. As a customer when eating out in a restaurant you donβt normally expect a member of staff working on their laptop at a dining table . If this had been done quietly it would have been excusable but to be taking phone calls and speaking loudly a bit rude. To also be nipping the staff all the time with comments is poor.

The place has an amazing ambience! The food was really tasty. The lunch menu is very fair-priced. Location is great, and the staff couldnβt be nicer or kinder! I really recommend it!

Had a lovely dinner at this French bistro that caught our eye as we walked down Victoria Street. The pan-seared chicken was one of the best chicken dishes I've ever tried, and my wife loved the catch of the day (sea bass). Service was lovely as well, thank you to Robin F, who was very friendly & attentive!

This was our 2nd visit, we visited Edinburgh before covid and visited Maison Bleue for dinner, which was memorable. Today we returned for an idyllic lunch, with a very friendly waitress who made us feel very welcome and looked after. The food was amazing and the atmosphere is very cosy. Thank you.

This was a lovely restaurant to dine in at, with a glorious design including the decorations, lights and walls! The lady serving was super friendly and I enjoyed Moules a La Bretonne (Muscles with bread) accompanied by a refreshing drink of Peach Cooler, preceded by a free jug with glass of water. I ordered extra bread to clean out the sauce for just Β£1 and had been checked in quickly, presented with a menu straight away. The table was beautiful with the additions of a candle and a plant, seating was comfortable and cleanliness had been maintained!

Highly recommended. Food and service were outstanding. Ordered mussels, steak, fish of the day, and gumbo; all were excellent. Desserts were delicious. Service was on point. Staff were friendly and very helpful, and making reservations (via Google) was a breez. Conveniently located near Edinburgh Castle, so this is a great place to have dinner after touring the castle.

Walking BBC around Edinburgh and came across this place. Nice seating area outside (great location for people watching). The service was nice. Not rushed at all. The food was gorgeous. I had Mussels which were so good. My Wife had Goats Cheese and caramelised onion, again gorgeous. The mains were delicious too. Will absolutely be back
