Wonderful stay at Artist Residence Bristol. The hotel is beautifully designed with a unique, artistic character. The room was clean, comfortable and full of charm, and the staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Great location and a lovely atmosphere throughout. Highly recommended.

Nice enough food. Asked for an extra piece of toast to go with the incredibly small one provided with the 15 quid Turkish eggs. I was probably expecting a token surcharge for this, but was surprised to see this come to Β£5.50 for β€˜toast and jam’, particularly since I neither received nor was offered jam

The owner has clearly no idea how to run a business let alone the 4 she's tried to cram into the building. Nightclub, bar, restaurant and hotel do not make a good combo, especially due to the other nightclub over the road. It's so loud you can't sleep. The staff are overworked as they clearly don't have enough on at any time which is quite frankly is worrying considering guest and staff safety. The rooms are nice but it's definitely not worth the price they're charging. Would absolutely not reccomend.

The perfect venue for a 40th birthday, the Library felt as special as the staff made us feel throughout. Food was amazing and of course the cocktails and range of local beers top notch. We’ve popped by a few times for drinks or food, which always feels like a treat date night. Highly recommend.

Nice decor, great atmosphere, nice wine but waited along time to get served. Then when we did get served for a drink, we were rudely told we couldn't order food at the same time as other tables had to order before us. Was an odd concept. Staff could do with some better training on service.

We were really looking forward to going here tonight for a farewell meal. The ambience is lovely and we were in good company. Unfortunately everything else was a let down. The service was incredibly slow. We only got menus for dinner over half an hour later in a quiet restaurant, when we went up and got them ourselves. Dinner then was incredibly slow, and we saw at least 3 tables seated after us receive meals before us. When the food did eventually arrive, the chips were luke warm as was the chicken burger (which would have been delicious if hot). It took a lot of attempts to get attention to be served drinks and dessert, with staff standing around talking to each other. We mostly ended up going to the bar to get served otherwise would have been waiting much longer than the 3.5 hours it took to get dinner and dessert. One hot drink I asked for twice, never turned up. A real shame as it could have been so much better. I would highly recommend some further training for the staff, and hotter food.

I really enjoyed this place - fantastic space and rooms. Cool staff, cool bar, good coffee.... thank you. It's worth the visit. Location is a bit edgy, perfectly fine and safe in the day but I'd not feel comfortable walking around there at night. I also wouldn't want ot park my car on the street but the Cabot Circus car park just a few minutes walk away is safe, secure and well lit - recommend here if you need parking.

A fantastic and beautiful hotel. We stayed in their Artist Suite, which was absolutely stunning, roomy, and very cosy. We loved it! The food downstairs was also incredible, both brunch and dinner. Not fancy and pretentious, but very well done normal food - exactly what you want for a relaxing meal. If you're staying in Bristol and want something quirky but premium, go here!

Popped in for a cocktail and a bite to eat and was really impressed on both counts. The bar itself is really nicely done with plenty of seating options and cool art. The cocktails were spot on (we went for the smoky martinis) and the food was standard bar fare but done really well (think pizzas and small plates of things like chicken wings and prawns etc). Plus, the service was excellent- shouts to the Italian waiter that served us- he was great! :-)
