I’ve just left after visiting with my anxious JRT who turns into a little demon at the vets. We were seen by Dr Jaimie for vaccinations and a claw clip. In the 12.5 years I’ve owned my dog, he’s always been horrendous and gets very aggressive in the vets, particularly when having his nails clipped…. not today! Dr Jaimie has the magic touch! Thank you so much!!!

We have been with Blythwood Vets for over 4 years. The recent interactions and experience with them has been very disappointing. Specifically, the reception staff in both Hatch End (don't know her name) and Bushey practices have been impatient, disrespectful and rude. We called the Vets when we noticed a big swelling in my dog's neck on a Monday. We were booked in to see the Vets after 5 days. There was some confusion about my appointment and to wanted to reschedule for the same day. However, Lisa (Bushey practice) was very unhelpful and disconnected the phone when I was still in the middle of the conversation. This is very unprofessional and unempathetic. We care about our pets and it is only natural to be anxious and emotional that even after waiting for 5 days and to be told that our dog couldn't been seen that day. The way I was spoken to and finally to disconnect the call while I was still speaking was very disrespectful to anyone. In the recent months, the practice service and customer experience has been very disappointing and poor. Many of our friends mentioned similar experiences and have left Blythwood to join other local independent practices. Now, we have done the same and strongly encourage other readers of the review to reconsider as well.

Very friendly & professional from front line staff to the nurses and veterinarians. Very clean and pleasant environment. They are very approachable and most importantly accommodate emergency appointments and great opening times. Only one small suggestion ( Not a complaint ) A reminder for vaccinations. I would definitely continue to visit Blythwood Vets for the care and well-being of my pet

I have been going to Blythwood since it took over this surgery many years ago. They have always looked after my pets with respect, care and understanding. They treat them the best they can whatever the circumstances and make sure I understand the situation. Whether the animal is ill or just getting its vaccination they do a good job.

I had a very pleasant experience. My husband and I were welcomed warmly when we arrived. The ladies at the front were so friendly. I watched them interact with other pets, in the same warm way. The vet was super nice and explained everything to me. I've had vets in the past that gave off a 'I am only doing this for money,' vibe. And I didn't get that here. I feel like my animals are in the best hands. Happy to be a customer.

Shocking services! Tried to book microchiping for my cat. Lady said she believes it will be £30, but I have to pay first £69 for consultation! I asked what consultation? It's just a microchip! She said "you don't know how things can go". What?!? Called on the 27th of March, 09:30am. You can check, who was on the front desk. My cat is now microchipped. Medivet did it for £28.

We dealt with Chloe at the bushey office when our dog was waking up hourly all night having diarrhoea. We spent months having scans, blood Tests and every other test with no clear answer as to a solution until Chloe came along and saved the day! she really is an extremely knowledgeable and professional animal doctor. Would thoroughly recommend her to everyone and anyone.

The Bushey branch has goood working hours and offers flexibility for appointments. The vet did a though annual check on my dog and they were all very friendly. The cost of treatments and in particular medication is high and I recommend a review of the costs to be more competitive with other vets in local and surrounding areas.

NEVER go to Blythwood Vets, especially this branch Bushey. Made us wait for 30 minutes to see our cat - did not even see him in the end. They say they booked us in with the nurse instead of a vet and it was clerical error they made on their part - apparently did not learn how to do this as part of their everyday job. The vets got very defensive when I informed them we had waited for 30 minutes. They started to give all manner of excuses - oh a dog had broken his leg, blah blah. Meanwhile I saw the vet had been chatting loudly with the reception staff going off duty about their weekend plans. These people put business in front of care. They charge extra high prices and no doubt prioritise clients with expensive surgeries over checkups. At the end, the receptionist could not stop advertising Blythwood Vets's other services - what, so we can wait another hour and not be seen? It's pathetic. Don't come here, it's a scam. Time wasters, you're better off going to vets that actually care.
