It was okay. The food wasn't amazing, but decent. Service was slow with no effort and atmosphere was quite. Portions were small and they would take stuff of the table as the next items were taken. Price was too expensive for what we got.
Great food and even better employees, they're wonderful to be around. The waiters are fast and enjoyable to be around, the food is literally to die for - it's wonderful. And the buffets blend multiple cultures and cuisines and make an enjoyable experience which is further made via the lovely employees and atmosphere.
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food itself was not great, but the main issue was hygiene. I found hair in my food three separate times. When I informed the staff, instead of addressing the issue professionally, they insisted it was my own hair even though I showed them clearly that the hair was already on the plate while I was eating. The staff were quite arrogant and dismissive, and the manager was no better. He claimed the hair could be mine or another customer’s and refused to take responsibility. I also noticed they were not covering the food with lids, and when I asked why, they said covering the food would change the taste, which is unacceptable for hygiene standards. The manager even said he has been running the restaurant for five years without a single complaint, and then went on to ask for my personal details, implying that I might be trying to create a problem. This behaviour felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. Overall, poor hygiene, rude staff, and zero accountability. I definitely would not recommend this place.
Great food and amazing service by staff. We regularly visit here and we have never been disappointed. We organised couple of events here and everything has been great every-time. Ankita and Khushboo in staff always go out of the way to make the experience special. Highly recommended.
I recently visited this spot for a reunion with friends, and despite a slightly dim atmosphere due to some sparingly switched-off lights (which initially made us wonder if it was closed), we soon realized it was all part of a Halloween-themed setup. The decor added an unexpected touch of seasonal charm, making it feel festive and fun. We kicked things off with starters: Chicken Tandoori, Goan Fish Cutlet, and a veg platter. All were super flavorful, with the chicken especially standing out for its succulent texture, and the samosas were a delightful, crispy treat. It was easy to see that the new management has really transformed this place from its pub days into a restaurant with a cozy, service-oriented vibe. The staff, particularly Khusbhoo and Alina, were attentive and friendly, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. For our main course, we opted for the Punjabi Chicken Tikka and Railway Lamb Curry, paired with roti and naan. Both curries delivered good flavor, with rich, satisfying sauces that leaned slightly above average in taste, though not mind-blowing. To finish, we had Gajar Halwa with ice cream, which was decent, though the texture of the halwa could use improvement. Overall, the quality service made up for any minor culinary imperfections. This restaurant brings a warm, welcoming feel, perfect for a relaxed get-together, and the attentive staff ensured we were well taken care of throughout our meal. Looking forward to seeing how they continue to evolve the menu under this new management!
We celebrated our daughter 2 years birthday @ Bagheera. Dheeraj and Mahipaul were generous to provide us a bigger space where we had our table decoration and food. They co-ordinated with every way, like they didnt charge any setup fee, they didnt said that you can only take upto this many hours, nothing like that. We came here for decoration at 11:45 and left after party and food at 4:45. They only charged us the food bill. Food was also good. Highly recommend restuarant in Reading
This pub is local to me and I've been going there for quite a few years. As with many pubs ownership and management has changed over the years but this venue still has a friendly atmosphere, staff are friendly and helpful. A good variety of beer/lager and the food is excellent.
The ambience was great. We have tried many Indian restaurants in Reading, most of them didn't make authentic Indian meal but we found Bagheera Restaurant's food to be authentic and tasty. We enjoyed the starters, which was succulent & yummy. We also tried the biriyani and we could tell it was prepared from fresh spices, and it tasted like proper Indian biriyani. The service was great where the staff did come to check to see if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend Bagheera Restaurant to everyone if you would like to experience a fabulous Indian dinner.
Had a very good experience yesterday, yummy Indian recipes specially the grill platter with affordable price and friendly staff. We got customised menu for the kids as well. One more to note has its own parking whereas in town center you spend a lot in parking. Sports bar is another advantage to add.
We visited for lunch and enjoyed the Railway Lamb and Vegetable Korma. Pleasant airy atmosphere. Woman serving was friendly and helpful. Our first pints of Loddon Ferryman's Gold were a bit cloudy and tasted like the end of the barrel. A new one was put on and we were given complementary halves - much better.
