The King's Head was a great find. The staff were amazing. They were extremely helpful in every aspect. The entertainment was great for New Year. The car park was large enough for people enjoying an evening drink/meal and people staying.

Went for lunch so booked a table in the restaurant. It was quite busy so we did have to wait a while for our food. Overall very good but we did have to send one plate back as the meat was under cooked. The restaurant can get rather noisy so maybe consider the main bar or snug if you have children sensitive to noise. Staff were very attentive and kind.

Our family stayed here before the renovation and the transformation is incredible! We have eaten here recently a number of times now and the food has always been excellent and reasonably priced for the overall quality. The service is efficient and the manager, Martin couldn't be more friendly, accommodating and attentive. Sunday lunch is a particular highlight! This pub/hotel is a gem for visitors and locals alike. Keep up the great work.

What an absolute gem of a pub! We had our firm’s Christmas party there and I was blown away by the atmosphere and sheer customer service and attention to detail. The Cavern downstairs was a pure delight. I will definitely be back as It was my first time visiting and will be bringing some more friends who have not yet discovered you! Keep doing what you are doing as you got it just right!

Dropped in for lunch today as we've been looking at this place for a while. Quite a haute cuisine menu and not the cheapest which is fine but unfortunately the lunch service was far too slow, 45 to 50mins before the food came and it wasn't exactly heaving with people. I see a previous reviewer also mentions this. I also thought the food served didn't justify the extra price compared to similar pubs in the area. I don't mind waiting longer on a Friday or Saturday night but lunch service on a weekday needs to be quicker. a table near us were in for a birthday and looked to have the same issue and I felt a bit sorry for them. Waitresses / bar staff were pleasant but slow to take our food order, probably took 20 mins before it was taken. Nice beers on offer, nice toilets and the building itself and location are lovely but I wouldn't choose to go back. Shame really as it's a lovely looking pub in a nice village.

I had a lovely time, we received a warm welcome from the manager and we were greatly looked after by waitress Eleanor. We had some great cocktails too from the manager. Highly appreciated and will come back.

I took my parents for lunch as it was my dad's birthday and we were so disappointed. The menu wasn't the same as online and there were limited veggie options. The roast was £22 and was totally not worth the price. Puddings were also super pricey and small and again not worth the money. It's sad as we've been here so many times and enjoyed our meals in the past, but after today we won't be coming back.

Beautiful, quaint hotel run by a very pleasant and dedicated owner. Relaxing, comfortable stay in a beautiful location perfect for attending a conference in Winchester. Feels like a much more expensive hotel than what I paid. The high points for me were beauty of the hotel building and furnishings as well as the countryside, the welcoming and accommodating hotel manager, and the great breakfast (coffee especially) and beer. Very much recommended.

Stayed for one night and wish it was for a week. Beautiful room, amazing bathroom, sensational breakfast and friendly and efficient staff. Couldn't ask for more. Also lovely gardens opposite a picturesque church, perfect place for a wine and relax. Dinner was fab to. Can't fault the place at all. Well done to the owners.
