This is such a wonderful local store - they stock almost everything you need for diy or the home. And if they haven’t got it they order it for you. Over the years I’ve bought tools, batteries, salt&pepper pots, scales, screws, household liquids, garden equipment, etc and had videos transferred to dvd. Neil who runs it is very helpful and also gives good DIY advice. This is an invaluable local store.

Great little store. Well stocked and usually has what I need when I go in, even the weird random items I didn't expect them to have. People that run it are very helpful guys with two distinct personalities that go out of their way to make the experience of shopping there memorable. Keep up the great work guys.

Nice little hardware shop with a wide range of items. Very friendly staff got me just what I needed on a range of occasions.

Very misleading website as I had ordered a quilting iron, ironing mat and mini ironing arm. Only the iron arrived despite all 3 items stated on my confirmation order. Seller refused to send other items and was extremely rude saying I had to order the other items separately. Due to the confirmation order I paid in good faith for all 3 items and there was no indication that this would not materialise. I would not recommend this company and the customer service was terrible.

Brilliant shop. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good atmosphere. I don't know if they still do it, but you used to be able to buy a bag of floating bird feed to take down to the river nearby, sold in a paper bag for a £1. I highly recommend Homecrafts in Caversham. ***EDIT*** It's still a brilliant shop. Floating bird food is now £2.50 in a paper bag to go feed the river or pond birds. You can buy a sack for £8. There's a good selection of bird food towards the back of the store or in plastic buckets inside the store, towards the front. There was a cheerful, helpful chap serving today (Thursday) in the shop. I had a little wander about while I was in there. It's such a great shop. There are so many useful products.

I was working on a job just around the corner from Homecrafts Hardware today and I was two rawplugs short! I popped in but only had my credit card and no cash. The gentlemen behind the till gave me a pack for free! Lovely gesture, will definitely get more bits from here in future!

Friendly helpful staff. Has all of your hardware needs. Better than going to the big shed (ie B&Q, etc) Highly recommend you visit and give your business to small local businesses

Place is brilliant, staff are helpful and knowledgeable and it has everything you need and more. Its better than the huge DIY warehouses. Paint, locks, TV connectors, and emergency tarpaulin. Hope it always stays open. !!

Caversham would be a poorer place without Homecrafts, which sells everything from knitting wool to home plumbing, electrical, garden pet supplies. Nothing is too much trouble for the friendly staff.

This is the most wonderful shop. They have an extensive and carefully thought out stock. You can find items that are not available anywhere else in the area. I have often found that for convenience, 'in stock' and the ability to see the goods they beat the internet hands down. Also, they know where everything is and and are a joy to deal with.
