   Evapo: Come for the vape, stay for the passive-aggressive gaslighting. Picked up a Smok RPM5 Kit from their Reading store. Within days, the battery was performing like a pensioner on a mountain hike—2 to 3 hours max before it needed resuscitation. So I did the sensible thing: returned it within the 30-day window, with receipt and packaging in hand, expecting a quick refund or replacement. Silly me. Instead, I was treated to a masterclass in how to alienate a loyal customer in under 10 minutes. The staff were dismissive, rude, and made me feel like I was trying to commit vape fraud. Apparently, they can’t refund or replace anything without “testing” the device first—because nothing says great customer care like treating every complaint as a criminal investigation. Oh, and I don’t live near a store. So naturally, their solution was: “Pop into any branch!” As if I’ve got time to travel the country for a £30 vape that can’t stay awake past lunchtime. Evapo, just a heads-up: The Consumer Rights Act 2015 is a real thing, and no amount of shrugging, deflecting, or robotic copy-paste emails from “Karl” will make it disappear. I’ve since filed formal complaints with Trading Standards, Which?, and sent everything—including your painfully tone-deaf emails—to your directors. All of this over a product that should’ve been replaced with a simple: “We’re sorry, let’s sort that out.” I’ve spent well over £1,200 with Evapo, but apparently loyalty just earns you a seat at the customer service Hunger Games. So congratulations—I’m now spending elsewhere. Avoid, unless you enjoy bureaucratic hoop-jumping, circular arguments, and being talked to like a nuisance for daring to expect the bare minimum.

   BEWARE: Unethical and lying to customers. **Stay away from this shop since change of management ** Appalling customer service, cutting the long story short the manager of the shop is purposely mixing products in his clearance section to make more money deceiving customers. They are also selling expired products in ´ their clearance section BBE April ( see photo) which is illegal and put us at risk. Abstain from buying in this shop

   I have been coming to Evapo in Reading for roughly 6 months. Every single time I enter the store it’s either Mohammed, Rich or Eugene who greet me. Without fail, they all make you feel welcome, they all have a smile on their face and they all have time and knowledge to give you. They are the sole reason I don’t buy my vapes elsewhere and I’d even make extra effort to use Evapo due to them 3. Really can’t speak about them anymore highly than I already do

   I used this shop to buy replacement glass for my device. I had a quick conversation with staff member Mohammed on the phone who quickly established that he had the item I needed and that he would hold it for me til I got to the shop later that day. Both he and his colleague Eugene were very helpful with assisting me with my purchase and had some great suggestions for new devices that I might be interested in. I highly recommend Evapo shops everywhere if they have store staff as helpful as the Reading branch.
