Lovely warm rooms, views over the forest were fantastic. Cosy bar with a fire and a great pub attached for dinner and breakfast. Service was wonderful, very friendly and efficient from all and had left a dog welcome pack with toy, treats and bags in the room too. Great stay, thank you.

We unfortunately had a poor experience at the Beaulieu Inn, which I have to say looks nicer in the pictures than it is in reality. Upon arrival we realised there was a wedding being held there that day. Like most hotels, they of course hadn't mentioned that to us when we booked. We felt rather out of place in the lounge as wedding guests gathered, but once they all moved into the function rooms that part was fine. However, when we went to bed that night we realised we could hear absolutely everything from the wedding, even though we were not directly over it - all the music, voices, the DJ announcements, children running and screaming, everything. So it meant we couldn't sleep until after midnight when it ended. Really, I don't think they should book rooms in the main building for people who are not part of the wedding party. Our room was broadly speaking comfortable. The bathroom was cold however and the heated towel rail did not heat up even when the heating was on. There were two radiators in our room and only one got hot, despite both of them being turned up. One of the windows didn't lock or latch at all, and given it gave onto a flat roof it was a potential security concern, especially as there is also no safe in the room. Our biggest problem with the room though was that there was no hot water in the mornings. We stayed two nights and there was only freezing cold water both mornings. When we spoke to reception about it, they expressed surprise and said 'everyone must have got up at the same time and used all the hot water', like this was an unusual occurrence in a hotel. It was 8am, and it happened on both days, both after the wedding and the next day when all those guests had left, so surely this happens every time the hotel is remotely busy? The water remained stone cold until after 10am so it wasn't possible to shower in the mornings. I found this is really poor. Food in the Drift Inn was nice enough and the staff were very pleasant, but the service was abominably slow. It took well over an hour to get sandwiches at lunchtime (presumably because of the wedding going on that day). But also both of our dinners took over two hours to get through two courses. It was bizarre because the restaurant wasn't always full, so I can't understand why it was so slow. As we were with children, it made it very difficult to keep them amused for so long. Overall, there were too many problems and I would not stay at this hotel again.

Fantastic hotel with excellent customer service from the start. Receptionist guy welcomed our family of 5 (including dog!) with a smile and was great at explaining everything and making us feel "at home" after a long car journey. Our room was lovely and spacious and clean. Our dog had her own welcome pack which was such a nice touch! Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was really, very good with lots of choice for our included continental - including pastries, cereals, yoghurt, crumpets, even muffins! We stayed for just 1 night but wished we were there longer!

We were told on arrival that the swimming pool was unavailable, but the lady at reception kindly offered to check if we could use the sister hotel’s pool just 5 minutes away. Unfortunately, she never called back, so we left it at that as swimming wasn’t the highlight of our trip. There was plenty more to enjoy — the area is beautiful, full of animals like cows, horses, and deer. The forest walks and the purple flowers were absolutely spectacular. We were a family of five and booked two rooms. One of them (room 28) was extremely hot as the sun set on that side, making it feel like a sauna. Fans were provided but it was still uncomfortable to sleep. The room itself felt neglected — the door was damaged and poorly repaired, the toilet door wouldn’t close properly, there were spider webs showing it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned, and the carpet was stained. There was no soap, so I had to bring some over from our other room. The bath tap made a loud noise whenever used, and we had to keep adjusting the temperature just to stop it. This really needs replacing. That said, we still had an amazing time. The bouncy castle was a big hit with the children, giving us parents a chance to relax with a glass of wine. Breakfast was nice, though very busy and clearly short-staffed. The team was very apologetic and attentive despite this. I would recommend this place if room 28 is improved — adding air conditioning on that side of the building, replacing the door, fixing the toilet door, changing the bath tap, and giving it a thorough clean would make a huge difference.

2 night stay, on arrival the receptionist was welcoming and informative. Our room (no.9) had a comfy king bed, a fold out bed for our 9yr old, sheets were good quality and clean, towels fluffy. Bathroom could do with an upgrade and the room a lick of paint but was clean overall. At all times the staff, from reception to the waiting staff to the maintenance chap were smiley, helpful and chatty. Friday nights are busy, the waiting staff work their socks off so be nice if you're there on a Friday! Food is pricey but all very tasty, breakfast was very good. Pool was great, clean, well maintained and open all through our stay.

Stayed here for a few days. Such a lovely place nesting in the new forest plains with Beaulieu Train station next door, excellent if you want a quiet getaway.

Great staff, nice location, only thing that let it down was the rooms/building. The walls are so thin you can hear everyone's conversations in other rooms, we were kept up by next door's TV , then when anyone moved around our room the floors creaked so much it would wake you up. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Like I said the staff were really nice and friendly.

A quaint old hotel in the middle of New Forest. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. The main lounge comfortable. Unfortunately the maze of corridors leading to the room were very stuffy and smelly. The room was nicely appointed. The pool room was pleasantly warm but the pool itself quite cold and in need of some filtration. The place has free wi-fi however our phones struggled and failed to get signal in our room and 5G reception is nonexistent in that area, at least with Three.

A lovely overnight stay, very dog friendly too which is always a bonus. Our boys loved the swimming pool, although a little small, with a good breakfast too? Decor could do with attention in a few places , although we did visit at the end of the summer season, apart from that all good.
