Had a stay here between Christmas & new year Parking good and lobby attractive . Superior Room attractive, big bed , Dyson hairdryer, big bath, although missing a magnifying mirror and the water was not hot enough to fill the bath. Big annoyance was a low volume set on the TV which ironically we couldn’t hear over the noise from downstairs ! Restaurant attractive but not the best quality food . AVOID the Caesar salad . I asked for warm chicken and it came out cold and processed chicken . Also realised later there were no croutons as specified on menu . Breakfast was a buffet but staff seemed disorganised and a lot of things we had to ask to be stocked up. Although main food was hot, buffet continental breakfast a bit poor in choices . Overall ok stay but a few things let us down . Reception staff were a bit over friendly but not in a helpful way. When I did comment about my disappointment in my dinner it was shrugged off .

Hotel location is great, but if you plan to stay over during a weekend please do ensure they don't have a wedding planned. Our experience as hotel guests whilst a wedding was going on: - restaurant downstairs out of service for hotel guests - you can still eat in the pub, but you'd be next to a crowd of people screaming and doing shots, not the vibe you might want to look for during a relaxing weekend in the countryside - music is quite loud throughout the hotel up until midnight, even to the second floor where our room was - parking completely full As a family, we were disappointed for the lack of notice or heads-up, especially since we then noticed this is already a recurring issue given previous reviews.

We had Sunday lunch today at the Forest Park Hotel today. We were welcome by the receptionist with a warm smile and she confirmed our booking for lunch. We were taken to our table by Tyler and given the lunch time menu and what was on the specials for lunch. He asked what drinks would we like before we ordered our lunch which we ordered . We all ordered the Sunday roast which superb followed by dessert, which again was superb. The service by all of staff was world class, they obviously love working at this lovely location and Hotel and nothing was not to much trouble. I would like to thank the following staff at the New Forest Park Hotel for a fabulous afternoon and food. Restaurant manager Mandy, Tyler, Charlie and Elizabeth. We will be back again - Nick Percy

The hotel is beautiful but Sadly we weren’t informed there was a wedding taking place when we booked (2 days before we stayed ) so they definitely could have forewarned us. We’ve come away as a belated wedding anniversary to relax as we’ve both been so busy . We booked the paws and relax package , 3 course meal and breakfast with the stay, whilst on the phone my husband booked our lunch for 3pm. We arrived early and took the dogs for a walk then went back to the hotel at 2.30 to see if our room was ready Sadly it wasn’t but that’s fine as check-in wasn’t till 3 , whilst we were checking in we told the lady at reception we were also booked in for lunch at 3. To be honest she seemed pretty miserable ( we’ve stayed here most probably minimum 10 times in the past and never had that, the staff have always been lovely). We were taken to our table and brought menus, my husband double checked that we did indeed have the 3 courses only to be told no that’s for dinner!! ( you would think that when we booked the room and the meal on the same phone call they would of advised us of that) my husband ask to just please check if we can otherwise we would change to dinner , thankfully it was ok albeit a bit embarrassing for us as another able were listening, the food was absolutely lovely and the waitress that took over was really nice and helpful. Once we had eaten we went to the room to relax which was fine to start off with but that was short lived , we had not been advised at the time of booking that there was a wedding going on. The wedding was really loud and people were outside just up from our room being louder (it’s great they are having a good time btw so not moaning about that) but had we have known we wouldn’t have booked which is completely down to who took our reservation, what didn’t help was that our window wouldn’t close properly so we couldn’t block it out, not only that they limit how loud you can have your Tv so we couldn’t even drown out the music . The rooms are great (some bits a bit tired) but Dyson hair dryer is great as is coffee and tea station, they have added some shelves in the bathroom which is a big help and we had a beautiful highland cow on the wall .The food is great but if you’re going to book and you want to relax check they don’t have anything on as there is no sound proofing at all. I did email on the Night of us staying about a few of my grievances and I understand it may take a while to sort but I do think an email to acknowledge mine would of been nice the moment it was read. We use to stay here a lot and never had any issues at all. The other down side with the new management taking over is they stopped you booking and paying later, we can be a bit last minute so it’s not often dog rooms are left hence not staying since last summer. The surrounding area is beautiful, lovely walks loads of horses (take wellies) still yet to see pigs though. I’m a bit saddened at our last stay as Iv always said that this was our happy place and my favourite place to stay in the new forest. Hopefully 1 day we may return and it be like we remember it.

I loved Forest Park. I'd give it 10 stars without hesitation. The staff were all super attentive , kind , friendly and helpful. Its a beautiful estate. We drove up to horses grazing on the lawn❤️ We had a 2 bedroom family suite which was spacious , comfortable and super clean. Out room had photos of donkeys on the walls. My grandkids LOVE donkeys and saw it as a good omen. I personally loved the bath products and bought some to bring home. The hotel is in a gorgeous country setting, I enjoyed a little nature walk in the area. I enjoyed eating in the restaurant on-site. I am vegan and had no trouble finding vegan choices on the menu. The food was "delish". We had a great stay. I would love to go back and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

An impromptu stay at this local hotel. We were allocated a well-furnished decent-sized room at the front of the hotel overlooking the forest. The bed was extremely comfortable and gave us a perfect night’s sleep. The room and bathroom were immaculate and well-appointed. Although our lovely room faced the road, it was not noisy at all, in fact there was no noticeable traffic noise during sleeping hours, even with the window open. The Forest Park is exceptional in terms of customer service from reception staff, waiting staff and bar staff (especially Giacomo and Dominik) who are always eager to help and provide a warm friendly welcome. The food is first-class, professionally prepared, delicious and exceptional value for money. The room rates are competitive for the area and every time I stay here, I cannot justify giving it any less than a five-star rating.

I stayed with a friend for two nights over new year. Our rooms were lovely, very clean with nice toiletries and we both slept well in comfortable beds. The New Year’s Eve dinner was delicious with a great band. Breakfast was great- fully served with local produce and dinner on our second evening was also excellent. What makes this hotel special is the staff. They go out of their way to welcome you and look after you. A lovely hotel that I look forward to going back to. Thank you for a wonderful new year!

Beautiful hotel, food amazing, staff lovely. 2 night Christmas break, beyond our expectations. Room was lovely, nice surprise that our 11 year old had his own room, decor amazing and spotlessly clean. ( only thing, some Christmas decorations in the room would have been nice, but no issue). The food was out of this world, big portions of the most amazing food...had the cod first night ( not cod and chips, proper cod) and the duck curry second night. Can honestly say, best food we've ever tasted. Ordered a side of chips, as worried portions may be small, didn't touch the chips! Lovely location, everything accessible locally, can't wait to come back!

We enjoyed a 2 night stay at this lovely hotel in a perfect position by the forest watching the cows and horses from our room walking along the road and into the forest. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast both mornings. The gardens were gorgeous for an early evening drink. We didn't have an evening meal but enjoyed coming back to the bar for a delicious floater coffee before bed! Highly recommend this hotel.

An excellent one-night stopover, for a family get-together. Our Deluxe Double room overlooked the rear garden and was cool enough even in the middle of the heatwave. It was well furnished and good value. We had a great meal in the restaurant celebrating my birthday - although food a little slow, staff were attentive and spot-on with their comments and humour. The small English Breakfast was ideally sized - all the right ingredients without feeling too full. Kim's breakfast service was sublime. The stand-out feature of this hotel are the staff who are attentive, responsive and engaging. All well selected for the right attitude and very well trained - not easy in these post-brexit times.
