Great steak. Came as I asked. Really tasty. Service was good but a little vacant . Just young folk I guess. Atmosphere was great. Dark but vibrant. Steak......Excellent despite being g 38 big ones... Food serve charge was 4.55...but then I got a 1.25 drink served charge too. That's taking the Harrold I think. So I'm going to mark down to 4. It was a glass of wine and I had to get up and remind the staff in the empty restaurant ..Where's my drink please??? I really enjoyed my steak and my experience but the price is up up and away...
I celebrated my friend's birthday at a unique restaurant located within what was once a prison. The architecture is truly remarkable, with the restaurant situated in the basement. The surprise cake I brought added to the festive atmosphere, and the staff were incredibly friendly throughout our visit. Our party of 8 enjoyed a delightful meal, resulting in a bill of around £260. The linguini with king prawns that I ordered was incredibly scrumptious, and my partner raved about the signature burger. We also indulged in some delicious calamari as a shared starter. To make the celebration even more special, the staff surprised my friend with a complimentary birthday cake. It was a memorable experience that combined great food, exceptional service, and a unique setting.
I found it bad at first they seemed welcoming and professional then the carb turned out to be burnt when I asked for it blood too high for a normal piece of meat nothing special I advise against it.
We stopped to drink cocktails, the space outside is very impressive, the cocktails were made really well, and the reception of the staff was impeccable. Then we took a look at the Menu and decided to eat something. The restaurant is beautiful but the food amazed us with its unique flavors. For me it became the best place in Oxford !! Thank you so much George for your professionalism.
My wife has visited here prior. An exclusive hotel built in the old castle jail. Very good execution. We stopped in this evening for drinks before dinner elsewhere. Good service, bit a bit sparse. Drinks were good and service was engaging and superb.
