We stayed for Christmas and it was amazing. Nice big Christmas tree in the lodge, very clean and spacious lodge and they even provided some essentials. The cafe is great, the park itself is a good size with lots of woodland areas and green spaces to walk our pooch. Thankyou Westfield for a great Christmas ☺️

Payed £530 all together and there was 4 of us so £130 + each, expecting everything to work but it didn’t. The Hottub worked one night and for the other 2 days didn’t, we called the manager multiple times they came around twice, the first time they totally ignored my mate and stayed for 5 seconds and did nothing, the second time actually acknowledged us then said he will come back but didn’t. It even says in the welcome book the Hottub will be checked every morning 9-11 and no one checked it. So it was just freezing for the 2 days out of the 3 so waste of money. The electric kept going out on the last day throughout the day which made the fridge turn off throughout the night so we woke up to everything defrosted, so had to bin most of it. The reception was closed every time we went even when it was open like it said in the welcome pack. So overall would not recommended

Had a, lovely stay I believe there is some ongoing upgrading work in progress. The lodge was comfortable, cosy and had all we needed. Sadly we had to lose a, day due to a, hospital appointment but we left feeling relaxed and rested Also we had good weather which also helps . We did have 1 day with no electricity but we went out for a few hours and all was restored later in the day

I can’t comment on the rooms as me and my family stayed with a private owner, but the noise of the groundskeeper honestly ruined our stay. Why he feels the need to ride around in his buggie thing all day I have no idea or why he leaves the engine idling when going into a lodge for over 5 minutes, I also don’t understand. How are people fishing and trying to enjoy the nature supposed to relax and have some quiet when all the time we can just hear this. It’s ridiculous! I don’t know if it’s a power trip or anything else but it definitely put us off coming again which a shame as the lodge we stayed in was really lovely.

I can't believe how much its changed. We stayed here last year in the same cabin (oak 9) and absolutely loved it. We wanted to make this an annual holiday but unfortunately won't be. We had 2 adults and 2 kids for a 3 night stay. Upon arrival we got the keys from reception and went to the cabin and unpacked. The site manager (who will do anything he can for you) came to to let us know there was a wasps nest on our fishing peg and had been there a while but they couldnt do anything because of the fish. I couldn't actually believe they didn't even give us a call before hand to give us the option to cancel and get a refund. Thankfully we aren't allergic or this would have been a different scenario. I was stung on the Friday and my little girl on the Saturday. I tried to go to reception 3 times but it was always closed so I called the number provided and the site manager came and sprayed poison again but it didn't do anything. Because of this me and the 2 kids avoided the fishing peg which ruined our time there. We also couldn't have the windows or doors open to the cabin due to the wasps was so hot in there which ruined sleep. The kitchen is in big need of repair, the oven seal is broken, theres 1 shelf in the oven (for a lodge that sleeps 4), extractor fan doesn't work which was great with us not even been able to open the windows, no oven gloves, 3 or 4 kitchen utensils, 2 small pans, 2 extremely small baking trays, a 4 slice toaster with only 2 slices working and the sharp knifes are blunter than the bread knifes. I would advise you pack your own cooking essentials especially if there's a family. The bathroom had a very strong smell of urine and thr extractor didnt work. No complaints about the bedroom, the living area wasn't the cleanest, I moved the sofa as I dropped a battery under there and there was old food under there and a lot of grime around the edges of the floors. The radiators are the only place to hand wet swimsuits and towels, the paints peeling quite bad and rusting so not great. The main doors are half glass so have curtains for privacy however 1 of the doors straight opposite the bathroom had the curtain missing. The hot tub was ok but what looked like sand and dirt in the bottom as soon as we got there. We didn't expect the cleanest as its a fishing cabin and if you don't like creepy Crawleys this isn't the place for you but that didn't bother us. Genuinely gutted about this place. I told the reception upon check out and all I got was reassurance there was a program in place to renovate. Shame I had to pay full price of a cabin that is in desperate need of TLC and a wasps nest that spoiled the whole reason for the holiday. Would have liked a partial refund and would strongly suggest if there is something like a wasps nest that could be deadly to some people that you give them a call before their stay.

Booked a three night stay with Westfield Country Park for a fishing trip/ lodge break, pond wasn’t as it seemed, only one 6 pound carp caught in over 3 days. Pond was very small, described as ‘lake side’, which they were not. Had a very warm welcome from the lady, very polite and helpful. However, paid a lot for the lodge per night to find out you would have to pay extra for a set of towels. Described as luxury but are very outdated and not the cleanest. Very basic, not worth the price paid. To top of the stay our van got stuck (3 minutes drive away from lodge/ 22 mins walk) after taking the wrong turning after a meal out. Tried numerous companies to tow the van out and couldn’t reach any. Rang the man in charge of the cabins who told us there would be nothing he could do, it wouldn’t be ‘worth the hassle’ to drive his van to tow us because it was dark. I thought this was disgusting hospitality and very rude to not even an offer to collect us, drove 2 and half hours away from home to visit these cabins. Finally got through to a towing company who towed us out but he appeared drunk and smashed all the business van window. After this experience we left on the Sunday, rather than staying the extra night we paid for, slightly gutted on losing this money as it was expensive, but didn’t want to stay another night due to everything that occurred. Will never return.

We have just had 3 nights here. I would hardly say luxury when the gas hob doesn't work because no lighter to light it with, no teatowel, less than half toilet roll, the dishwasher isn't working unless you want dishes washed in cold water. No iron, slats missing off of blinds so it isn't private, stained cups, odd plates & bowls, a hole in the bedroom wall, frying pan looks 10 years old. I told them about everything and they offered 15% off if we want to come again. No thank you, just put things right for the next person. Very very disappointed. The lodge next door has a broken window with plastic film on it, surley that shouldn't be let until it is fixed. 2 different people have stayed in it while we was there!

Needed a long weekend away. Oh my god this place is so good. The log cabin was fantastic. The hot tub was Brill and the fishing was the best we have ever fished. We will definitely be booking this ace again. You tick all the boxes 10/10
