“Went for dinner this evening and throughly impressed. Super thin and crispy base, while the crust was crispy with a little chew. The garlic bread pizza was really tasty. The amount of ingredients on the pizzas was just right, not overkill and each bite had a bit of topping. First time and definitely not the last time. Will be back next weekend!”

“Mediterranean dinner at Chef and Manager in Newtownards near Belfast. It is one of those places that do not exist on IG, yet known to locals and is always fully packed. We were so lucky to have got recommended it and to actually manage to get a table on a Friday! The food was exquisite, the flavours, the presentation, the staff, everything was done with extra care. One of those places when you feel the owners take it upon themselves to ensure you enjoy every detail. . What you see here is duck breast, so tender! Laid on some veggies, and a selection of sauces. Each of them takes you on a different journey. Second main was a rack of lamb (mint crusted), it had a charcoal flavour and the taste was complemented by Mediterranean veggies. Both dishes came with potato gratin. . For starters, we had beans soup and goat cheese fritters with beetroot and bread. I was so tempted to go there again during out short visit”

“Went here with my girlfriend 4 times in 7 days, would've gone more if we weren't trying to experience other places. Staff were all super friendly and welcoming. It was neat and clean, you can tell the staff care about this place. You get served quickly and the food is made just as quick infront of you. The food was next level, we had the Palestinian Falalfel, Grilled Halloumi Sandwich, Breaded Halloumi Sandwich and the Couscous salad with extra falafel. All of it was indescribable, truly the best food we had during our stay in Belfast. Words can't descibe how much i recommend this place, come by and give it a look, you will not be disappointed.”

“What a lovely spot. On the bustling High Street but a hidden gem (well to us) How did we not know this was here when it's been open for 27 years! It was lunchtime so very quiet but we had such a nice time. Attentive and friendly service and the food! I had the confit duck salad with chocolate mousse for afters. One friend had scampi then doughnuts and the other had the burrata salad starter as a main. All so good! Beautiful room and a lovely outside deck too. We sat well behind lunch closing time (sorry!) but we weren't rushed and really had no idea we overstayed. We will be back!”

“Beyond their regular menu lots of specials were on offer; quiche of the day, soup of the day, pie of the day, and sandwich of the day. I picked the day’s sandwich special, the Cajun chicken sandwich, which had tomatoes, rocket, chicken, the sauce, and good thick bread. It was excellent. We had some of their coffee and chocolate cake, and it was great. The place is very popular, but isn’t noisy. A band called The Bankhouse Robbers play live music here on Wednesday afternoons, while traditional musicians play Friday afternoons. It was a cold winter’s day outside but our table was toasty and warm. They have a great garden area with outside seating, for other times of the year. They’re in a 70s extension to the impressive former Northern Bank building of 1905. Service was very attentive and friendly.”

Perfect dough and crust, range of toppings that will have you crippled by indecision as they all look amazing, and then when they areive they taste as incredible as they look. “We booked online very easily for a Family of 5 for a celebration. We attended on a Friday evening. The restaurant was busy, some noise but not overly loud where you couldn't have a conversation. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. The food was ordered quickly and was also delivered to the table fast and fresh. The server was polite and very attentive. Nothing was a bother for her. Free WIFI was a great help, having an 11 year old with ASD, He was kept busy with his ipad. This is the most authentic Italian food restaurant in Belfast, and we have been here a few times before. We will return again, service and food is consistently great.”

“The place is always busy which says a lot. It’s bijou and quirky. The staff are lovely - just folk trying to do honest work to make a living. The food is really flavoursome, the fish always meaty & fresh. There’s a wide choice in the menu with plenty of sides or small starters / you decide. They’re not licensed but you can byob & there’s a corkage charge dependant on wine/spirits/beer. They will provide glassware. The place is always warm and it’s homely & intimate. Recommended without a doubt.”
