Our waiter not only offered advice to suit our pallet but explained even what spices were used. Wow what a fantastic meal. “In our opinion the best Indian takeaway in the area and also the best value for money. Have been regulars for a number of years now and sadly not operating at the moment due to a refurbishment. A helpful guy who answered the phone recommended Spice of Lye which was 'ok' just not the same. Hopefully it will be back open again soon.”

Service was brill the food well lets say even better...... food was amazing the loaded fries well lets say i only got a fork as the kids devoured it they loved it. My kids are the fussiest of eaters.. n Now lets get onto the chicken strips and fries meal for £10 seriously £10.. best value for money i have ever seen and the fries well lets just say the MMMMMMMMM best fries ive tasted from any takeaway.. finally i dnt knw but looked like a yogurt chilli sauce .. “Our local indian restaurant, we visit regularly. Tonight we were treated to an off the menu dish, Punjabi chicken. It was lovely. Our favourites are the railway lamb and beef khala buna. Great food served by nice people. They even remember to bring me extra coriander with my dish after asking for it one time. Now that's great service. 10 out of 10 all round.”

“This might be the best chicken & chip in the UK. Just today I paid £4 for a chicken burger, chips, drink and unlimited dips, £4!!! Absolutely amazing. The owner has kept the prices the same for many years and has become a pillar of the community. The food is always cooked really fresh, is perfectly hot and is perfectly cooked. It is also cooked really fast. The bossman is top notch and I have never had a problem with them for the past several years they’ve been open. I’ll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first about a dodgy takeaway but i’ve now been a loyal customer for many years and I could not recommend this place more. The shop is also open pretty much all day as well which makes it good for lunchtime and for dinner.”

“I've gone past this place many times but I finally booked a table with a few friends. Great food. The seafood platter was very tasty. Portions were not huge but more than adequate and it's good value as well. The service was relaxed so you didn't feel rushed. Lovely views as well.”

“We’ve been a few times over the last few weeks after a work colleague recommended it. For a staff meal & a family meal. Staff are very helpful & efficient. We enjoyed the early bird special it was very good value and lots of variety. The kitchen is open plan and looked very clean tidy & efficient. I love open plan kitchens when eating out. Highly recommend for a large or small table booking you will be well looked after”

“Popped in for breakfast and a coffee while waiting for my car to be serviced nearby. Really good food and great value for money. I had to ask for something to be left off my breakfast due to an allergy and the girl pretty much insisted I had extra of something else in its place! The thing that stood out most was that an elderly gentleman who was quite frail came in while I was eating and the staff not only poured his tea from the teapot for him, as he was a bit shaky, but they even opened the sauce sachets and put them on his food for him as he was struggling to do so himself. Absolutely exceptional customer service and I’ll definitely eat here again when I’m next in Stourbridge”

“Lovely visiting Hagley Cafe again - it's not the cheapest place but the food was delicious and they cater really well for gluten free! Owner was very pleasant as always and the new décor is minimalist and modern. We will definitely be back!”

“A very warm welcome from staff. Very busy but great atmosphere. Served by Lauren, who was courteous, friendly and efficient, with great customer skills. Nothing was too much trouble. She's a credit to the establishment. Food was served timely, presented well and was delicious, with attention to detail. It was a family birthday celebration, enhanced by a candle on the birthday girl's dessert. All in all, a great experience.”

“Wonderful experience had today, we booked last minute for a table of 8 and high chair and manager Debbie was so so accommodating. Lovely atmosphere with fab food and lots for children to do with having huge field and outdoor play area. Highly recommend for a Sunday lunch with kiddies in toe xx”

“We popped in for an ice-cream (amazing gelato I mean) and a coffee ☕ also deeelish! their pizza looks amazing!!! i will definitely be back for more!! lots of parking. outside seating seemed like a great option only nuisance were the eager wasps outside, so we moved inside... It was a bit pricey, two scoops of gelato going for £7 but they are luxurious and BIG scoops, definitely worth it.”

“Been wanting to try the food here since seeing Matts videos on Facebook. We had to travel from County Durham to Basingstoke today so decided to detour purely for a Sunday Roast. The food is amazing. Nice and fresh and the red cabbage is out of this world! I had a standard gammon roast and my husband had a large trio of meats, which he struggled to finish. The staff are super friendly and nothing is too much. We will definitely be back”
