βVery pleased to have these vets in our village. You really get the impression that they are there for the animals first and foremost. They are also very competant and kind and whenever we have needed an appointment we have managed to get one of the day. They address any concerns the owner may have and we have found them to be very trustworthy, prioritising the most ethical and most cost effective option over monetory gain or unnecessary treatments or interventions. We like this veterinary group very much and are pleased that they are so local to us.β
βLovely vets, staff all seem to care , Anna the Vet , was excellent made us feel calm when our dog Pepo , needed an operation. Followed up next day with consultation to check heβs was doing fine , and the week after. A big Thanks to all the Staff.β
βFlossy has been really taken care of during a recent surgery to remove 3 lumps. They were kind, caring and considerate of our needs and listened to our concerns. Would highly recommend and I wanted to say thank you for everything!β

β2ND UPDATE As always, imogen is the only person that Paco will allow to do his toenails, he is abit of a fairy lol. Always receive 5 star service from crossways. Over the many years of owning pets I have used many different vets but not one comes close to Crossways over last 15 years. I would never use another vet surgery. They truly care about ensuring their clients and the owners are getting the right information specific to their pet. My last bull terrier, Angel, had several strokes before getting dementia, and the only reason Angel continued to have such a great quality of life was down to Imogen and the work she put in ensuring everything was right. When Angel was almost 15 years old, we had to make that decision to put her to sleep, and imogen was there to do it as she always was, and even wrote a little tribute to Angel on the blue-cross rememberance page. We received very personal handwritten cards from Imogen, Chris and Maxine which we keep next to Angels ashes. After losing Angel we rescued another bully Xena, and she too will always be treated by Crossways, and they always go above and beyond. We took Xena in just other day as she was poorly, so I asked the vet if they would also do blood tests just to make sure everything was OK for my own piece of mind. Turned out her red blood cells were very high, but she is now back to normal. So Crossways don't treat owners like we are over the top, they are so understanding. As Xena is getting more and more stressed out with having toe nail clips now, I requested that she is sedated for her next clip, because of the state she gets into and they immediately agreed this would be better for Xena. If you have questions, they are always happy to provide info. So, Crossways for me are the best around. UPDATE1 Sadly we lost princess xena in jan 2024, on 26th March 2023. Dan gave our 2 new 4 year old bullies a full checkup as we had just picked them up from their first home and provided us with lots of options for their skin allergies. Fantastic service as always. THANKYOU TO THE ENTIRE STAFF AT CROSSWAYS FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO FOR OUR PETS.β
βAmazing experience, really helped me out with my cat buster and understood my situation. The vet Henry was very professional and caring, all the staff were really nice. Glad i changed to this practice!β
βWe had to bring our dog in for an emergency appointment, very early on a Sunday morning. Sadly, we had to have Harry put to sleep later that afternoon, but care and pain relief was given to him so we could take him home for one last walk. The team (Hannah and the lady on reception) were so kind throughout what was undoubtedly the hardest day of our lives, saying goodbye to our 15 year old dog. The gave us the time and compassion we needed. Our usual vet seen him the previous morning and said nothing was wrong, we brought him here and he was scanned immediately and diagnosed. I know for sure Iβll come here if we ever get another pet. Thank you again for your care and empathy throughout, it made this difficult and traumatic time that much easier. I should also thank you for the card you sent to us later that week.β
βTook my cat in today and was really impressed with the care. The staff were kind, gentle, and explained everything clearly. My cat was well looked after, and I felt very reassured. Highly recommend this vet!β
βSo happy I moved my dog to this veterinary practice. Such kind vets who really care and listen and they always do their best to keep the costs down.β
βWe are very pleased with the care and attention our dog has had at St Anneβs Langney branch, the receptionists and vets are understanding and nothing is too much trouble, they are caring and considerate to our dog and ourselves.β
βTim and his staff are fantastic Our westie Charlie had chronic colitis and our local vet said they had done all they could for him. His weight was dropping dramatically and we feared we were losing him. Tim began treatment and within weeks he was putting on weight and back to his active life. Later he developed a skin disorder which again Tim was able to control. Sadly Charlie passed away with cancer but we know Tim gave him another happy year of life . Thanks again Tim you were brilliant Mark and Tanjaβ
βThe service is amazing they're thinking about the animal more than theirselves very helpful and the willing to do anything for your dogβ
βAlways a great experience at Cootes vets. All staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The care provided to your pet is outstanding. 100% recommend to all pet owners.β
βI have always used Crossways for my dogs, over many years. They are professional, caring and informative. My most recent dog (rescue, badly abused previously) is very nervous, Imogen and Kirsten have been amazing with him, building up trust in the most caring and gentle way. Would whole heartedly recommend.β
βWe changed to this surgery recently having lost confidence in our previous vets. We've had two different appointments with our spaniel and we are so happy we made the switch. The vets are kind and informative - they give you all the facts and help you decide on what's best for your dog which is not something I've experienced before. Id really recommendβ
βGreat place for your beloved pets from all your essentials to grooming to vetsβ
βExcellent as always. So nice to know that my cat, Lucy, who is diabetic, is always in the best hands.β
βI seem to be visiting the vets way too often for my liking, I have 2 dogs and they seem to take turns not being well. As always the team are compassionate towards my pets, are thorough and are happy to spend the time diagnosing and explaining my options. Whilst not cheap (what vet is?) they try to minimise where possible the costs incurred. I love having a local vet a couple of minutes away with a 24 hr emergency also on my doorstep should the need arise (which it has more than once). For these reasons for me it is good value for peace of mind.β
βThis practice never let's our families pets down. We've used them for the last 15+ years - visiting both the Woodingdean and Lewes branches. The reception team are knowledgeable, polite and efficient. The practices are immaculately clean and vet Mark Allaway is the most knowledgeable and kind veterinary surgeon that we could wish for. Would 100% recommend Cliffe vets.β
βTook our Staffordshire Bull Terrier for a health check. The reception staff were very welcoming and friendly. We were seen on time by a veterinary nurse. A full health check was completed, very caring and thorough. She listened and put our dog at ease which made the whole process easy. Thank you.β
βI have no negative comments to say about this practice. Receptionists are friendly polite and understanding, All treatment advice from vets has always been the right choice. Despite being fully booked, They were able to slot in an appointment for my Shadow when he needed to be seen. Can't thank them enough for the care and understanding they have shown.β
βMy dog was there for her semi-annual check up. We were seen promptly. A very friendly and efficient vet. My dog (and me) were well looked after. It was all very fast and efficient.β
βAlways fantastic here looking after our 2 dogs Bertie and Stan. Have been to several vets over the years and these are definitely the best in my opinion. Never disappointed or let me down. Highly recommendedβ
βSuch a lovely vets. I went to another vet for my terrapin and wasn't happy with their service so spent time googling and found Farthings and I'm so pleased I did. Location ideal, parking ideal, reception staff all friendly on phone, email and in personal. Vet was so nice and not judgemental. Sadly I had to say goodbye to my 20 year old terrapin. Was such a horrible day but knowing I was in a better vets helped the situation. Collected my terrapin today and again such lovely staff. It's going to take me a while to get over losing luke but knowing the vets were thinking of the best rather than money and were just so lovely compared to the other vets I went to will always be remembered. Will highly recommend to anyone I speak to. Thank you again so much for making a horrible situation a little easier for me I'll always be grateful.β
βI took my parakeet Chippy today to have his nails clipped , he has had them done with Companion Care on several occasions, once again the staff were amazing and have done a great job , for a sometimes grumpy parakeet, he is sooo happy now with his manicurenow all done, many thanks nikkiβ
βBrilliant team, clearly have the best interest of the animals at heart. Always looked after my cat and family pets with top standards, including life saving surgery on our elderly dog. Also- Jenny is an amazing nurse! Always so so kind and caring.β
βBeen going to Highcroft Vets for over 25 years and they have supported all my pets which has been very comforting for them and me.β
βOur dog has been having a series of problems with his rear end and these have been dealt with in a very caring way by the Vet. This has not only eased things for the dog but has also put us at ease. Bea, the vet, handles the dog as if it were her own. Cannot praise the practice high enough.β
βIβm registered at the Worthing branch and they look after my cat and dog. The staff there are so friendly and helpful and always manage to squeeze us in if we need an urgent appointment. They put the pets at ease and my dog really likes going there. Prices are very reasonable and you get so much value from the healthy pet club. Highly recommend!β
βOur dog Bailey has been seeing Suzanne for 7 years now. He is happy there, and so are we. We are moving but will stay with Cliffe Vets in Ringmer.β
