“There was definitely an olde feel to this pub as we walked in, ducking heads as advised to avoid the low entrance and stepping into a comfortable and pleasant environment. It was full for a lunchtime, always a good sign. We were pointed to a board full of daily special dishes and another board showing the selection of pies before being taken to our table. The menu had a good range of options, including a number of vegetarian and fish dishes, and some pub favourites (I understand the liver and bacon is very popular!). Service was friendly and not too slow, although we didn’t feel rushed either. The food we ordered was excellent and there was plenty of it, so much so we couldn’t manage dessert, which was a shame as they looked lovely too. We will definitely be returning.”

“So pleasantly surprised by this gem. We were looking for brunch after going swimming nearby (we’re not from the area) Picked this place, was easy to park , food was really quick. Food tasted lovely and the freak shakes and coffee was lovely. All staff were really friendly we will definitely be back when in the area”

“We order dominos to be delivered to me often and the guys who deliver are always so friendly and love seeing my dog. The food is amazing. We got the burger fries and the carbonara pizza for the first time and oh my gosh they were amazing.”

“Really good lineup of pints on tap and food selection. Staff are great and the pub has a very welcoming atmosphere. Kitchen brings food out nice and quick too, the missus loves the chicken wings. 10/10 would visit again.”

“Great food, really delicious and hot. No grease in the pancake rolls, dry and crispy, not sloppy and wet. Normally chinese can be very salty but this wasn't salty at all. Very quick service. Haven't used The Great Wall in a long time but will certainly be using it again despite having to pick it up. Put the New Garden in the shade. Well done The Great Wall, keep it up”

“A Lovely Evening Out! Had a fantastic meal here – the atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, perfect for a special occasion or just a treat. Service was spot on: attentive, polite, and genuinely friendly without being over the top. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish, and the staff clearly care about what they do. Can’t fault it – highly recommend and will definitely be back.”

“We always get a take out here when visiting from Bradford and it's one of the best curry places outside of Yorkshire. Sometimes a long wait on weekends but the website does warn that.”

“This Chinese always used to be the worst in Nailsea throughout the years. It must have changed hands since I last ordered from here as the food is now really good every time I've ordered from here. Now the best Chinese in Nailsea in my opinion since the Golden Horse closed.”
