“Very nice, very warm, good vibes all round. Thanks from Rhymney AFC”
“nice university the staff are friendly and helpful. the day schools were accessable and informative. the tutors had time for me. the work was made interesting. we had a say in how the modules ran the students were friendly in my groups. the work was 6 assignments per module and it was very fun to work out. there are times when i did see something new in the work. and it was insightful there were student days and a happy helpful advisor on the phone. i did complex consideration with some of these modules. the questions were interesting. the staff were accomodating. there are good people working here and i never had a problem or argument with the other students. we had a nice time it may not be the best but i think i had some thoughts too they are nice and all my modules taught me something.”
“Great campus building in the heart of Cardiff. Good facilitaties and an excellent IT team!”
“Don’t fear university halls! I’ve had the best year here. Although it is about a 30/40 minute walk away from the university campus and city itself, I found this bonded people who lived in the halls together, particularly people in my flat. I lived in Birchwood flat 1 which had 11 other people. The bedroom is much more spacious than all other university accommodation I visited throughout the year (because there was no en-suite or double bed). The shared bathrooms were alright, we had 4 toilet cubicles and 4 shower cubicles per flat. We had 2 kitchens which were quite spacious. The flat got cleaned on a weekly basis. Throughout the year I had a few maintenance issues in my bedroom but these were all resolved within the next 1 or 2 days of reporting the issue. There was an hourly bus on weekdays which did a loop of 4 main university buildings (medical school, business school, student union, engineering school) and started at 8:10am and finished at 5:40pm. In the evenings we ordered ubers to go into the city or student union, when spilt these were around £2. The halls are about a 10 minute walk to Roath park where we went on walks, played games, and had a barbecue in the summertime. There is also some green space in university halls and a MUGA. Overall, university hall is one of the biggest university accommodations so although it is far, you are not alone! Your experience will be more dependent on who you are around rather than where you are, and I found amazing friends in Birchwood and wouldn’t have wanted to live in any other accommodation.”
“The NHS works very efficiently when it has to. I was given excellent care and attention when I attended the Heath A&E department with an injury and spreading infection. Despite attending in the early hours of the morning in a busy A&E with consequent long waiting times, the staff were courteous and helpful and gave full explanations of my treatment. Having been initially assessed and treated at the Heath I was redirected to Llandough hospital specialist orthopaedic department where I was seen, treated and then booked in for an operation the following morning. The surgeon and his team were efficient and helpful, the operating theatre facilities were modern and excellent and the staff supportive throughout. Post op support was just as good. I can only profusely thank everyone involved in my care .”

“Another Day, Another Welcomefest!! My first trip to USW. Treforest. An absolutely amazing day with warm, friendly souls - Holly and both face painting ladies ❤️ @St. David’s where I won a £10 voucher. Tash and Jamie in the advice zone, the gentleman we played Chess with, not to mention the lovely ladies in both Student Union Cafes. Thank you for making it such a great day.”

“University of South Wales - Newport Campus is a fantastic place to study or attend conferences. The campus is absolutely stunning with a very attractive structure and plan. The university offers many features including a canteen with great quality food (although can be a bit pricey sometimes) as well as a very effective library with hundreds of books that are available to borrow.”

“I have had numerous experiences of standards of practice under the Welsh NHS and the dermatology team at St Woolos were quite exceptional in undertaking a delicate and critical surgical procedure. A young professional team that ensure the future of the Welsh NHS will be rosey for the community they protect.”

“How do I thank these human angels, like they all are. Anything I say just does not reflect upon that gratitude I feel in my heart for them all. I sat here contemplating how I feel but, please, just imagine if you did not do what you do as well as you do it, if there were no banter. How miserable I would be by the time you would carefully put me to bed. How much longer would it take for me to heal. How much depression would I have to endure. I love you all very much, you shut my windows and blinds in the middle of the night when I am cold, you sit me on the toilet when I need to go, you wash and dress me, feed me and medicate me, you make sure I have urine bottles to last all night, and you bring me my food to my bedside. You make sure I have a sterile, clean environment to live in. Yes, you are paid to do that but nowhere near what you deserve. Yet you are such lovely people who smiles whenever you open the doors of the hospital. How on earth do you always seem so happy, imagine how the ambience in the ward would be affected if you were not. You may or may not be religious, it does not matter either way because it is pretty clear to see that you are like mythical angels who seem to want to care for people you do not even know or have any connection to. Strangers. Who pass in the night but temporarily need your help and expertise. All individuals with the same goal. To have a listening ear and to care. Like the gentle giant, Lewis, who was always willing to help me. Lisa, lovely Lisa, the OT, with a face full of adventure that was always smiling and, therefore, motivating me just by looking at her. When I hesitantly moved from a bay to a single cubicle, she assured me that I would like it better. She was, of course, right. Kerry, such an interesting and likeable man that regularly brought me the peddle machine to work out on and wake me in the mornings to teach me how to wash, Louise, who got me a haircut, gave me a manicure and took me to the ward Christmas Carol Service. All three were major factors in my recovery. The physiotherapists, the people that literally taught me how to get out of bed, stand, walk and flex my arm and hand to pick up a tennis ball. Meg, Jordan, the lovely tattooed Elephant girl (such a very professional and lovely girl who loved her granddad) Charlotte , oh how wonderful she was. She set everything up for me to come home, but most importantly, she listened to me and talked words full of wisdom to me, told it as it was, so to speak. Such an asset to the ward. The student whose name, sadly, I forget. She was always smiling and talking to me, willing to learn, so helpful, showed me how to shower and will make an excellent professional. And the tall, dark haired young man, whose name I forget again. He came to see me on the morning I left to wish me well. A really nice young man. All miracle makers who help to build and heal damaged Neuroplasticity paths and encouraged new pathways. A miracle is an event that happens without explanation, reason or cause. It is well known that it happens but it is unexplained as to why or how it happens. It just happens, a miracle. Physiotherapists help the brain to make new neurological pathways by repetitions. They are all miracle makers who help to build and heal damaged Neuroplastic paths and encouraged new pathway’s.”
