“Been here before and it is a lovely family run cafè. Staff are very helpful and food and coffee are great too. I had a teacake which came with good quality butter and blackcurrant jam. It was like foing back to my childhood for a brief moment!”
“I cannot get over how amazing the chai latte cake was! Heavenly! Literally! The original pumpkin spice girly (also lots of cross over with chai spices) was St Hildegard I was literally praising eating this cake which has the spices she called ‘the spices of joy’. I felt that joy today!! The service was great the atmosphere was really good the food was excellent quality and a brilliant price (I also had a toasted ciabatta which was full to the brim!) highly recommend!!!”
“Great menu options, a mixture of healthy and unhealthy depending on how you’re feeling. Worth knowing, it does get pretty busy on the weekends so you may need to wait for a table.”
“First time visiting tamarind after seeing a review in the paper about the restaurant winning an award. Took the missus last night and both of us agreed that this was the best lamb bhuna we've ever had. Food was amazing. Staff were amazing and the place was buzzing with a great atmosphere. It was well worth the 20 min drive from coventry. Tamarind will 100% be our go to from now on.”
“Good food treats, cakes and takeaway”
“Absolutely love this place! Since the new owners took over, everything has completely transformed and in the best possible way! The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and beautifully relaxed, making it the perfect spot to start your day. The coffee is incredible rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. And the breakfast? Absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients, great portions, and thoughtful presentation. You can really taste the love that goes into every dish. The new owners are some of the kindest, most hospitable people I’ve met. They’ve created not just a café, but a little community hub where everyone feels at home. Whether you’re popping in for a quick coffee or a long, lazy brunch, you’ll be greeted with a smile and made to feel like part of the family. Highly recommend paying them a visit it’s a hidden gem that deserves all the love!”
“Delicious breakfast, good coffee, super friendly service. Amazing vegan selection. Located on a lovely street, not far from the castle. Would happily go back if in the area again.”
“Food is always fab, had wonderful breakfast, and lunch. Soup with loads of flavour Ridiculous large and tasty cakes. Service is always happy and helpful Will go back as often as I can”
“We reserved a handicap room. It didn't make a difference for me, but the shower had about a 6" threshold. Otherwise, the room was perfect. The service and food were perfect.”
“Here, my 2nd in the chain, I am sure there will be others. Market Harbough, Balsall Common. Love em. The cafe chain is very friendly, clean and easy to get to. Great for every one, young, high chair people, those in wheel chairs. Thanks to the staff for there very friendly and warm welcome, Steve.”
“Smiley efficient service, really really tasty breakfast. Bacon was the highlight Will definitely be back Thanks”
“We recently celebrated our son Leon’s first birthday at this restaurant, and it was absolutely wonderful! The food was delicious, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the whole event was organized perfectly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, everything was beautifully decorated, and the team showed true professionalism in every detail. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such a special day – highly recommended! See you next time ❤️”
“Staff are always welcoming and friendly and very accommodating when I pop in with my baby and pram in tow. Food is lovely. Especially love the toasties, hot chocolates and ultimate brownies. One of my favourite places to go in Kenilworth for a light lunch / treat.”
“I haven't been in for a fair while but nice to see a more bright and fresh decor. Still popular with people of all ages. Nice fresh cakes from the counter. Staff friendly enough. Plenty of tables. Update on 19th July 2025 Enjoyed a breakfast with my girlfriend, still as good as ever.”
“Cosy cafe in quiet street in old Kenilworth. Popped in for coffee & cake after a stroll around the castle. Delicious selection of cakes & very good value. Relaxed friendly atmosphere.”
“Amazing place, really friendly staff. A member of our party hand wrote down everything that was gluten free- something you wouldn't get elsewhere. Food is wonderful and cooked really well. Brilliant selection. The only problem is the parking is a bit of a walk away, but blue badge holders can park in the street opposite. All in all a successful visit!”
“We visited here with our Guide Dog puppy to meet with the sponsors who gave him his name. It was a brilliant visit and a lovely, calm atmosphere”
“A couple of weeks ago I went to War Memorial Park with a group . We had to buy 18 different hot drinks in one go. The staff had been amazing about it. Managed the queue and kept smiling and chatting despite the wait. Well done all on the day. Very professional, positive, helpful. Thank you for making us welcome despite coding queues and changing our order several times. Thank you. LV and the garden group x”
