“Booked a Table originally for six definites and 4 maybes, the lady was absolutely brilliant letting us confirm the exact number on the morning of the booking. Words cannot describe how amazing the staff were, from hiding the flowers and bringing out the Birthday cake, to joining in singing Happy Birthday. “I watched Beetlejuice and I was impressed. Not just by the film. The cinema is very posh and beautiful and the staff couldn't be more helpful . I also liked the selection of snacks and drinks. The seats were very comfortable and there was the possibility to lift up your legs. The restrooms were spotless . All in all it was a luxurious experience, especially given it's location.”

“Decided to stay at the Riccarton Inn while working in the area and glad I did. Rooms are basic, but comfortable and are perfect for my needs. The bar seems very popular with locals, despite this, the service is swift and even though we have only been there once we were well attended to. The food is excellent, as is the beer! I will be back in the area in a couple of weeks and will be booking into The Riccarton Inn. Don't be put off by the lack of an available breakfast, just head along to Molly's or Corner Cafe for a fantastic breakfast. It's understandable that no breakfast is provided as there are only 5 bedrooms.”

“The sandwiches at the pub quiz are great as that's the food the service. Service and atmosphere. The staff are friendly and professional. It's a friendly pub and everyone is welcome. I highly recommend the quiz on a Thursday 50pp entry but that includes sandwiches or recently fantastic pizzas and a chance of winning at least £50. Adam's questions can however be a bit questionable but the forfeit round makes it a lot more interesting. We have however managed to win on 3 occasions in the last year.”

“Very nice hotel and the staff and breakfast were excellent. The problem I had was finding the hotel as it is on Edinburgh University campus area and there is no signage on the side of the hotel facing the road. The room was really nice with interesting lighting features. They do offer free parking and it is 6 minutes from the airport”

“Would highly recommend for new residents and immigrants to Wester Hailes to visit and mingle with neighbours at this friendly local pub with cheap Scottish pints. “After a long walk from Edinburgh to Balerno via Union Canal and Water of Leith - this friendly wee cafe was a welcome stop!! Nice coffee and really tasty cheese scones - served by smiley volunteers and at a reasonable price. Cake selection looked fab - hope to visit again soon to try them out!”
