“When visiting the John Knox Home Museum, the woman helping us suggested this place. It's a rainy Wednesday early evening and although it was busy in this small restaurant, we were seated within 10 minutes without a reservation. We were intrigued by the story, but impressed with the food for its creativity, freshness, and robust flavors. We started with the Pulled Beef Rib Croquettes and Aspargus & Feta Salad with peas & mint. Both starters were fantastic and bursting with flavor. For dinner we chose a Pulled Mushroom Chilli with black beans, parsley Bismanti Rice, and guacamole and a small salad. Also we shared Salmon Fishcakes & Vintage Cheddar with a side salad with lots of delicious veggies and three times cooked fries. For desert we shared a Blackberry Elderberry Eton Mess. It was not too sweet, but full of flavor with meringue slivers for a crunch.”

I rang the store just before closing and a lovely staff member called Tracy answered. She was over the top helpful and wanted the situation solved. It was just before closing when most would just give up and go home. Tracy went beyond good service and took my details to check in the morning how we could solve the issue further. I went and checked the car again and pulled out all the luggage…and there they were! Great appreciation and thanks to Tracy! I’ve bought a few pairs of shoes here and will be back again!”

We were looking for recommendations on what to purchase and were provided with in-depth descriptions of various options, on which we trusted their expert opinion and went for their favoured options. Our guests loved the options and have been complimenting them since the party. They also provided glasses which turned out ot be a fantastic decision and made life so easy for new guests arriving. Delivery must not go unmentioned, as this was all arranged while we were on holiday and not arriving home till the early hours of the morning of the party. We had arranged a time slot for delivery, in which they arrived precisely on time and provided massive help, as we had to arrange for a family member to be there. All in all, their perfect service made it a very special night.”
